Weekly poll: should Samsung have kept the Galaxy Note series separate?

06 February 2022
Merging the Note with the Galaxy S Ultra was done to make room for the Z Fold, but did it make things better or worse?

what samsung should have done is cut loose the S series and stick with the note.
those who don't use the pen just leave it inside.
Now we note user have a problem where if we want the spen we have to get the most expensive version as before we could choose lowest spec for those with budget matters

It's literally a Note. The note was becoming increasingly pointless with the SXX Ultra getting better and better. The Fold coming out around the same time. If you told me the S22 Ultra was actually called the Note Ultra, I'd believe you. It has everything the Note line has had except for a few nitpicks like aluminum rails. You guys are just complaining because it isn't called the Note. If Samsung called it the Note you guys would love it

The note was about getting the best of the best and the newest tech. The Galaxy Fold has replaced that for Samsung. Is it the best of the best? No. But that's where Samsung has positioned it.

I've been a note fan for YEARS and it never really made sense for Samsung to have the 2 lines of devices separated, especially in the recent years as the device specs were so similar. As long as the continue to produce the device with the S-Pen and he more squared off corners, I'll be happy

Separate lines were better because if you didn't want the S-Pen, but you wanted the 1440p screen, you have to settle for a 1080p one instead, unless you go elsewhere - While the Note was absent, it would've been great to see another player introduce a Note alternative with competing specs (Vivo, OnePlus, etc). If another player still included expandable storage or the headphone jack, had matching chipsets in all regions, AND didn't charge 4 figures for it, then it would've exposed some of the fraudulence because Samsung have taken features away from their phones and consumers since the Note 9.

Samsung needs to simplify the range if your compare it to the apple range. they could have called the flagship the s22 note and and dropped the name ultra and could have called the next phone down s22 + and next one down s22 and next one down s22 mini this would have looked on paper as they were selling more phones rather then 2 separate N and S series the phones are very similar in specifications minor differences

Can't vote . aparently I'm in incognito mode!
