Ive been a Galaxy S guy since 2012 (thank Blackberry for their awful Pearl which led me to try Samsung again) - and I've been very happy. I had been toying with moving to a Note but now that they aren't making them I'm a bit underwhelmed. The leaked stats of the S22 series have me thinking I may be better off just getting a Note 20 Ultra

I just think its a bit whack for such a large Manufacturer to only release one Ultra Flagship a year.
I think giving the S Ultra S Pen capability without the Silo and then release a Note later in the year with the silo and bluetooth capability would be the way to go.

I may have to skip Samsung once eSIM comes in other makers like Oneus, Oppo, Xiomi, RealMe. It is getting ridiculously damn expensive like useless iPhone Pro Max series.

Remember when the Note series was for the customer that wanted it all?
That changed when the Note 10 launched without expandable memory or a headphone socket.
It makes sense that the Note line is being dropped. Notes haven't been notes for a long time.

Samsung have saturated the phone market with so many lines (A, F, M, S, Z Fold and others) that losing one wouldn't really make a difference to them.
If you don't want to use the Stylus don't use it.

I've had the note 9 for 3 yrs. The only thing I've had to change on it has been the screen. I get clumsy after about a year or so, and drop it. Glass on both sides and all. But im still using my phone. And haven't used all the internal memory/data. I LOVE my phone. Just wanted an upgrade, but now can't! This sux!

Apparently, if you say that you want the SD card slot on these articles, gsma will delete your comment and say that you're spamming lmfao 🤣
So yeah, had to login to spam some more!
NO SD CARD SLOT = NO BUY => Hello Sony! ❤️
Also, no WQHD+ on the Plus version is just dumb!

I think it's an odd decision .Note certainly defined itself as offering a USP over the regular S series ,by merging it with the S series it has made it less of a stand out, less exclusive but we'll see if this new strategy works

Richard, 07 Feb 2022I've owned Notes from the Note II onward. The quality... moreThis is a move to slowly condition people into buying folds. They managed to do it with removable batteries, failed a bit with the sd card slot on the s6 but got away with it along with the jack from the Note 10.
Even their midrangers are now slowly losing the flagship features jack and sd slot.
Which was done to make them look like poor people's features.

royo1e, 06 Feb 2022I rather prefer to buy an iPhone instead of a Samsung flags... moreSamsung isn't laggy anymore. One UI is the best android interface.

The Note Series is what got me into Samsung in the first place since the Note Edge..
I don't want an S series with Stylus and definitely I want to have the expandable memory slot for the SD Card.
The year it came out without a memory card I didn't buy the model.
And this merge is really a deterrent for me away from Samsung.

Tigolebitties, 06 Feb 2022That's the point. Note series existed because of the S... moreNo, no, no, never ever! The Ultra will never be a Note. Just make a Note, and make it BIGGER with square corners and a flat screen. I didn't buy the Note 20 Ultra because it was an S20 Ultra, still holding onto my Note 4 & 5. Why should we dilute the Note?

YUKI93, 07 Feb 2022I kinda doubt it. It's still far from being mainstream... moreHave been using samsung for 8 years straight now. And 6 devices later.. never needed any repair.. except for battery change for only 1 device.. I don’t know about your country.. the folds are pretty well priced compared to iphones in my country… the z flip 3 is my favourite and it is cheaper than s21 plus and iphone 13 mini.. The fold 3 is expensive alright.. but same priced as iphone 13 pro max after discounts.. and iphones never get major discounts.. In US the fold is 50% more expensive.. so It is a no brainer.. but here I will pick the fold over the iphone any day.. Life is short.. a new experience is worth more than playing safe to me

Would never go back to Samsung ever again as long as they continue the clownship of their OneUI, but I think the Galaxy S series with their progressively increasing screen sizes have met the Note series in one aspect at least, and alongside Samsung did not bother to keep providing Note series exclusive features to the Note devices, it was time I suppose. But this is all Samsung's decision, so on their account only.

Hello Life, 07 Feb 2022The folds are the best … i love new technology I kinda doubt it. It's still far from being mainstream because of its steep price and its subpar repairability. I'd rather have a native tablet all day long instead.

If Samsung gives similar hardware between the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note, then I see no reason to keep the latter as a separate series. I know that Samsung uses EMR stylus technology for Galaxy Note smartphones, but Samsung can keep that same stylus technology while selling it as a separate accessory for anyone who needs the stylus. After all, very few people use a stylus on a smartphone. That said, a built-in stylus on tablets does make better sense to me because of its large screen.

royo1e, 06 Feb 2022I rather prefer to buy an iPhone instead of a Samsung flags... moreFlagship lagging after 3 years is the story i often hear from iphone x series owner, but hey at least with 6 years OS upgrade iphone would finally have the same features as Samsung flagship from 3 years ago.

My humble opinion...samsung should stick with the separate galaxy S competing directly to iphone...and let the Z Fold 4 be the New Note. The fold have more capabilities to be a notepad tablet than the galaxy S. I think this was not the best move from them.
