LOL, 04 Feb 2022Slight correction: Mediatek is Taiwanese, same as TSMC, not... moreTrue.

That said, Exynos has gone toe to toe with the Bionic in the past. Even beat the Snapdragon in some generations. It's awful how the Exynos team has fallen behind, but since last year they've started to turn things around.

Meanwhile, Mediatek has underperformed for 10 consecutive years. Only now have they made a chipset that can "apparently" compete with the big boys. We do not even have production samples to analyze regular-use performance. It's all hype with the Dimensity 9000.

Yet, many are making false-equivalencies, diminishing Samsung's efforts, while acting like Mediatek has always been crushing it.

Can't wait for an Exynos plus/max die with more performance cores for exclusive use in Samsung's flagship tablets.

Benchmark nerds can now rest easy knowing they're extremely similar and there's no more 15% difference between computations.

      WHAT...?

Something was hidden and it's somehow coming out soon..! soon.! soon!
And I will keep saying it😇 "we talking about Samsung and not some mere Chinese teks"

alcatraz, 04 Feb 2022What's the chance of Samsung manipulating the numbers ... moreWhat will you use the information for? I am 100% certain you're not in the market for a Samsung flagship, just another random, anonymous commenter on the Net.

The Snap and Exy use the same CPU. On GPU, AMD is known for excellent efficiency.

It's interesting that you guys didn't ask for power specs when previous benchmarks showed substantial differences between production Snap and engineering Exy. Now that production variants for both silicons show comparable performance, you're skeptical.

In 3 years, Exynos will match same-gen Bionic. Next year, it'll blow past Snapdragon on most metrics. Note that down anywhere.

            Meaningless benchmarks.

GPU performance and temperatures are more important.

so different from previous benchmark test.

could it be a manipulation ...

U is generally the SD variant and B is the Exynos variant.

What's the chance of Samsung manipulating the numbers to give the Exynos a "hot to touch" boost, and the Snadragon a "brake", so they appear better matched? Chances are they have quite different power consumption etc.

Which one runs cooler at a matched speed, is what I'd like to know. Is the Dimensity 9000 going to be the cpu king I wonder?

Sd gets hot and hasnt changed much at all theres no big difference same with exynoss.

                      Only dimensity does change much

article made a mistake when u wrote "meanwhile snapdragon is 3400 in multi core vs exynos 3500" u all got that reversed, it's the snapdragon that scored higher in multi core... anyways my curiosity lies in the rdna 2 features that come with the exynos, like it can do ray tracing as well (of course unlikely to see mobile games push for something that intensive) but yeah how will the snap versions compare gpu wise

Damn, Dimensity 9000 kills them both! MTK should prepare themselves for a ban now. They are almost flying as close to the half eaten sun as Huawei did 2 years back with Kirin 9000.

Ive compared dimensity 9000 to these 2 and its official ima go for dimenaity 9000 phones now.

Sd 8 gen 1 single core vs exynos 2200 difference is 58 points

And multi exynos wins by 46 points

While dimensity is literally 500 generations ahead so yup.

Not much of an difference in performance.

I am very curious in =

                                  1. Heat (Snapdragon 888 overheats and 8 Gen 1 is said to be hotter, while previously Exynos is an oven)

                                  2. Battery drain (Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 both are battery consuming chips)

                                  3. GCAM and ISP (Snapdragon generally have better ISP and gcam support, i wonder about This one)
