What's the point of a 2x tele lens though, even the A73/A72 has a 3x lens, IMHO a flagship should have 5x minimum.

Glad to hear that the dual 766 sticks in the X5 Pro, they didn't downgrade that to the JN1. I personally am not a fan of them, but their flagships are quite fine.

What is the point anymore? This and the X3 Pro are just carbon copies of the OnePlus 9 Pro and 10 Pro. They even merged the OS es. OnePlus and Oppo are one brand from now on. The only differentiating factor is aesthetics.

notafanboy, 04 Feb 2022So stupid not to put periscope. Find X2 Pro had periscope. ... moreFind X2 Pro = €1200
Find X3 Pro = €1149
Guess how the price got lower? By cutting the periscope.
If retail price was €51 lower, it means removing it saved more than €51 per unit.
Now, counting all units sold, you have few million euros more in their pockets.

Pretty clear Oppo no longer wanted OP Pro to be basically a "copy" of Find X Pro.

GS88, 04 Feb 2022You see the imx766 (but also the 700 and 789) in a lot of d... moreRumors point to imx789 (24mm) and 766 (16mm) for both 1 iv and 5 iv ...
But it also could be them just testing different possibilities.
Devices may show up just in late April.

So stupid not to put periscope. Find X2 Pro had periscope. Then for some reason they downgraded the zoom with the Find X3 Pro and this year they are keeping the pathetic 2x zoom. "5x hybrid" LOL meanwhile other companies have 10x or even up to 20x hybrid. Oppo is making some strange decisions. I will never buy a phone without good zoom capabilities.
