For now, the only time I've seen the D9000 beats the SD 8 Gen 1 in CPU it was using an older Geekbench version, you should make a decision when D9000 equipped phones gets released and tested, for now they could be manipulating you and you're just falling in their trap.

This video shows the SD 8 Gen 1 being better(vs SD 888) at the GPU efficiency in GFX Bench.
For the CPU part, we still don't know if changing the CPU governor to "walt" did anything, the older Snapdragon SoCs were "schedutil".

Anyway, I'm waiting for more people to test the SD 8 Gen 1 power efficiency, and also in phones from other manufacturers, Motorola isn't the only one that exists.

No sign of Exynos 2200 on his channel, so I guess you were talking only about SD 8 Gen 1.

Sonu4678, 07 Feb 2022And what would you do with 18 gigs of RAM?? People like yo... moreAnd people like you who never buy flagships force the rest of us who do not to get our money's worth.

If I'm paying upwards of $1300 for a mobile phone, it better have the best everything. Including a 4K 240 Hz screen, 18 GB RAM, 1 TB storage.

My Alienware Aurora R13 has 128GB RAM. Got that much RAM because I was paying over $4k for it. Better to have a feature and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Here's a valuable piece of advice: Stick to your $300 cr*p and leave the rest of us who can afford high-priced devices to demand the best specs. If it wasn't for us, you'll still be arguing about how 512MB RAM is enough because you made poor life choices.

In my opinion its strange to downgrade vs a previously model, no matter if its ram etc. and for the same price, maybe even at a higher price for the new S22 series.
BUT as an old Note lover, then S22 Ultra have a stylus and thats really something in my world.
I hope Exynos will be good this time, because i dont want another freaking SD heat/power plant again.

We're truly living in a very material world. Of course, the decision to stop selling it is totally understandable, but this device could be sold for the next five years and it would still be a great buy if the price was dropping gradually.

so predictable...of course, since a discounted s21 ultra is a much better deal than the s22 or s22 plus at a comparable price so they should stop selling it.

And this made the S21 Ultra go up in price in my country, that is €1322 for 128gb please.

Also living area matters too depending on which uses more heat 8 GEN 1 vs EXYNOS 2200 vs DIMENSITY 9000 would mean depending on how hot it is in your area would mean how your phone would be able to keep its normal temperature even when not being used.

Shadocx, 07 Feb 2022Any proof the Exynos 2200/SD 8 Gen 1 has worse power consum... more8 gen 1 CPU is 100% the same as 888

8 gen 1 GPU beats A14 in Open GL and beats A15 in Vulkan

It also runs with way more power than 888 so your phone will get HOT and DIE faster.

Dimensity 9000 CPU destroys 8 gen 1 in multi core and also in single core

Dimensity 9000 GPU it loses against 8 gen 1 by at 1440p and 15 in 1080p in OpenGL and Vulkan pretty much nothing.

And it runs cooler also. The guy played genshin impact on both and he used the prototype which has no cooling and it still beat in parts 8 gen 1 which did have cooling. Sooo with cooling itll hold 60fps much longer and run cooler for much longer and battery will last for much longer.

Ima go for dimensity from now on.

I'm sure the ultra has been discontinued in the UK for about 2 months. Kinda hard to get

On my Galaxy a52s with 8gb of ram, I can multitask multiple games and apps and they resume where they left off! Android/One UI is pretty aggressive at killing the apps when the phone screen is turned off though >:( I have "Adaptive battery" and "Auto sleep apps that aren't used" off. I do have them "optimize battery usage" though, and that's probably what's causing it...
