EU officials see no problem with Meta shutting down Facebook and Instagram

08 February 2022
Meta needs to process its user data on European servers if it wants to continue doing business in the EU.

I think the european union did good on standing firmly on its position but at the same time i feel its stupid because banning facebook and Instagram move a lot of money everywhere and help companies promote themselves. to be honest meta and europe were both dumb on this

If Facebook or Meta closes in european Union countries i will open a bottle of a good whisky and drunk up my self for the first time after 15 years of my life.

I guess a lot of people don't see a problem with FB and Instagram being banned. But on the contrary. It's almost dictating to individuals what they can and cannot use.

This'll be interesting. And it'll be very lucrative for Snapchat and TikTok, who will definitely implement a pseudo-Instagram subsection into their app if Meta as a whole pulls out of Europe.

This time I really agree with the dinosaurs from Bruxelles. Hard to move those mammoths but when they move, they become impossible to stop.

No problem for me too. Protecting privacy is above all.

I hope no more FB and Instagram in EU.

Well, I see no problem either
