Also, no surprise its the first phone. Its AndroidONE and as such, there are higher software expectations. Thats the reason why there are no more A1 phones...which is shame.

Moto really grind my gears when it comes to updates I mean all newly launched handsets should get the update, see no E series is getting simply disgusting. This is where you have to admire Samsung even updating their budget blowers.

Worst company will never advise anyone to buy motorolla phones u never get update or if u get it it's very late. By that time Google is already ready with its new OS. And u are at same point again...

I'm really surprised to see the Razr 2020 receive Android 12 OS update considering that it was launched with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and Motorola never go beyond two major OS update as far as I can remember.

I'm not here to defend Motorola or something like that, but people, what do you really want?
At least with Moto phones you get what you paid for, and more in my opinion.
Stable, no nonsense phones, that can last you for couple of years.
Yes, the update policy could be better, but it is perfectly fine for me.
Had many Moto phones in last 10 years, never had a problem with bad update or something like that.

I'm actually hoping my T-Mobile Razr 5G does NOT get the software update. Seems like Android 12 is breaking Google's own Pixel 6 series. Motorola forces me to update. No way around it.
I get notifications from Samsung to update about once a week but I keep pressing Later. I'm hoping it's like Essential Phone and Pixel 3. No forced update. Just notifications. Don't want to lose SamSprung.
