smartphone market is not the same after Huawei left, Xiaomi has grown and honor is rebuilding itself. Samsung does anything? Make a folding phone? We had that in the past...

I still remember my S4. After each system update, about 3 to 5 bloatware/adware apps suddenly were installed and I had to remove them again.
And today: Admittedly a few less bloatware apps, but can’t remove some of them anymore.

Imagine a device with longevity built:
- internal components modular
- stock software with support
- high-end specifications so it doesn't get obsolete
- use of components for long-term duration
- durable design
- affordable price (they're in it for the long haul, not short sales duration)

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2022Samsung’s biggest fail is arguably killing the removable ba... moreYou put up using a Galaxy S4 for 7 years? Wow. Congrats. My uncle had his since 2013. I saw him still using it in 2018. That's pretty good for older phones like that.
I still have my LG G5 but I found removable batteries actually have worse battery life and shorter shelf life. I have 4 spare batteries including a red one. They all last about the same and then get degrade quickly after a year. While my Pixel 3's from May 2019 hasn't degraded much at all doing the 80-20 rule.
I do miss those options including microSD slot, headphone jack, and IR blaster. But living with 2 GB RAM for 7 years would be too hard for me.
