if it re-launches, then pls include all the walkman features plus the cybershot featues too. The body surface should be free from finger prints. I expect, a good looking slim slider, with atleast 2.4" or above screeen size, and apart from all these, it should be a smartphone... all the very best to sony ericsson... hope they rely on my suggestions. It would be a great handset..

I hope in the future Sony Ericsson not using Sony brand like walkman, cybershot, mega bass, bravia, etc. Make ur own brand & be mature.

good decision for SE, features that are outdated will really never win. Although I still root for SE, go SE!! Hope they make better phones now, and one thing, make new designs for your phones.

A great decision which means less crappy SE phones on the market. Nowadays almost every SE is nothing more than crunchy, prone to break down plastic imitation of the cellular phone. I know what I'm saying about cuz i got one. Repaired twice and still problems with speaker. Agrrrr!

let just hope they make a pleasant move that surprises the world again like my shiho (C905).

Yes! That's the right decision SE! But please don't trash the Paris form-factor because the ergonomics is perfect! Please base your future P-series from that slider design.

man SE are finally on the right track, i'm a ture nokia fan but at the end of the day its just mobiles but i'm really happy for SE, ok they may not be 100% on track (why could't they put standard ports on the C905!!) but it shows that they are waking up. One more thing SE.....you better put standard ports and Larger Screens on your phones this time......cause nokia always had much bigger screens on all their rival phones....SE is finally working

sony has been slacking off the last few years. they have not put out one interesting business phone. They seem to be targeting teens.

Good. SE lost the plot after the P910 & K800i, both examples of a well specified product done right. a) They toyed with those unusable two character per key keyboards. b) The screens on their non-smartphones are much smaller than Nokias. c) They fail to include a 3.5mm jack on ONE of their devices. d) The GUI on their recent smartphones (P1 etc) is a complex mess and sluggish. (See user reviews.) e) Their cameras (even on the new sexy C905) lack VGA video, which in the era of YouTube and video blogging is madness. f) The new Nokia E71 is an example of a phone done right. Great blend of business and personal features (inc VGA video!), a fairly decent QWERTY keyboard - and usable implementation of Symbian. What SE have got to do is stop worrying about threatening Sony, start to innovate like LG, think about usability (Nokia E series, iPhone), versatility (Nokia N series) and syncronisation - Apple iPhone. (To be fair, the syncing on my K800i with my Mac was better than on my N95 8G.) Until SE catch up, the next major selling season is going to be dominated by Apple, Nokia and HTC, with LG & Samsung taking the consumer markets.

It's a good decision on the part of Sony Ericsson.

                                wow..
                                so surprise to hear that!
sony should keep P5 design but change the spec immediately..
but, to cancelled G702 production, is the best solution, bcoz, G702 didnt have the right design n spec to penetrate the existing market..
I hope sony will immediately launch the better one (please, keep Wlan feature) to keep on fire for fightin with nokia (beware of LG!)
                                -sony rules!-

                                  fantastic news!

the p5 was terrible and only had a poor 208mhz processor anyway!
