                        Government is data hungry.
Before PUBG ban, various reasons were quoted like security concerns, nudity, violence, etc, etc.

Well, let me tell you the changes. Nothing happened on nudity front, if at all it was. Violence is almost the same, only wordings in English have been changed with a couple of disclaimers added, and blood colour is green.
                        So, what has changed?
Well, anonymous login option is gone. You have to login through your playstore/ facebook/ twitter. Means they know your phone number when you game.
Privacy done to death. Now you might argue it wasn't intentional, but hey, soon keeping original fb app on phone will be made compulsory to game. Now what do you say?

And now they're ruining every other game too. Thank god GSMArena is in Bulagria not India.

Dont mind me, 14 Feb 2022Thank you for your polite comment. However, the main reason... moreThat doesn't explain why India is the only country to ban these apps. A lot of countries that are concerned about data privacy have not banned these apps. The US has not banned TikTok for instance. So it's more like India is using data privacy as an excuse to ban these apps but they're being banned for other reasons.

[deleted post]I was being sarcastic there, fool. Just because something has the word "china" in it doesn't mean it should get banned. That is just not possible. Everything is manufactured in china. So if you people want to ban all things Chinese, then sure, tomorrow half of Indian products will be off the shelves then

Sonu4678, 14 Feb 2022How can you just ban products that are widely used? Physica... moreThank you for your polite comment. However, the main reason cited for the ban is the misuse of user data my point here is that these devices do require user data as well. And I am not sure if it is the same but they do have ads in some regions. For this as well user data is being monitored continuously. So the reason given to justify the ban is kinda contradicting. And if employment is another reason not to ban the hardware because they provide employment in India, it would safe to assume that there are also some Indians being hired in the development of the software.
