Mediatek to launch Dimensity 8100 in March

This is the very same Dimensity 8000 platform, but with a new name.

And technically we have seen the D9000 many videos on prototype smartphone device already on YouTube etc

None of... more8 is a lucky number in China, think its linked with wealth or something and basically 4 is unlucky or along those lines (I think the way they say 4 is close to how they say "death" so that's why, specially Chinese brands, you'll never see a phone with 4 in it like the Oppo Find x3/x5) that's why they went with 888 and everything is now 8xxx.

        Seems that Helio and Dimensity 700 are for basic cheap midrange, Dimensity 800 - 900 for average midrange, Dimensity 900 - 8000 for expensive midrange or cheap high end, and Dimensity 9000 for high end or flagships.
