next years S23 ultra will be $1500 pay attention to this, if this phones sold well they will be increasing every years and say good bye to $1000 flagship because it will be mid range price in few years.

So when iPhone 13 is launched globally, iPhone 12 family gets greenlit for assembly in India.
Anyways, the Samsung price increase doesn't make much sense. Guess they expect that people will pay money for a Snapdragon. Hopefully there are some nice discounts.

Only iphones retain some value.
If you buy an old samsung, you can get it dirt cheap.

What is even weird is that iPhones are now assembled in India but the prices are still the same. Sure, it's just taxes. What else can it be ? When one has absolutely no clue about the market

Also the Z Fold sure is not locally made or even assembled. So any explanations now ?

Ah, it's Samsung. Wait for a couple of months and it'll come down. At least 10% will be reduced with "offers/ card discounts/ prepaid discounts" etc etc

Because considering the your statement that you can easily afford; you are not going to Chinese brands. Rest is apple. Iphone 13 pro 128 GB is costing same. Pro max costs 1,29,000 for 128 GB variant. And same, only with cable. Now, as Samsung is giving assurance for 4 major update, things are not far behind the Apple; except that resale value of iphone is relatively higher. And if you are going to Chinese brands, then there should not be any cry; because they are always bang for your bucks.

These newer models are not manufactured in india, hence the exorbitant prices.

Such high prices for phone without charger in the name of environment saving. I can easily afford such price but not going to buy to show my condemnation for such deceptive move from Samsung.
And top there is no memory card slot which is required to save your 4k video. Samsung is virtually forcing customers to pay more and more by hook and crook. Not support you Samsung anymore.
