Weekly poll results: strong demand for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the other two are in its shadow

20 February 2022
It's the only one of the three that has people excited at this early stage, the other two may have to rely on positive reviews to strike up interest.

After not so good experiences I had with S20 and S21, I lost the respect for Samsung (mainly due to Exynos chipsets and One Ui).
I like the flip phone (for its interesting design) and I wanted to try the S22 Ultra at some point in the near future (when nice discounts will appear), but I went with OnePlus 9 Pro this time.
PS: I live in EU country, so I never had Samsung S series with SD versions, only Exynos.

I don't understand how the flagship S series comes always with Exynos in Europe, but the FE models get SD versions (but lack other nice things from the flagship S series). Maybe is just marketing from Samsung to get people to buy both series of phones (S and FE).

Would like to know whether people with strong demand for S22 Ultra are from Europe or rest of the world. Would tell a whole picture about whole Snapdragon vs Exynos thing...

Of course S22U will have high demand during preorder period. People preordering phones usually would look into specs, where S22/S22+ would be more for regular users I would think.

Give this phone 1/3 Month for the software Update for it to be fully ready cause you know fresh Android Flagship onlys have something that need to be fixed via software update and uhhh we need 1 more voting option it’s “I’m saving my money to buy the phone”

Was strongly considering the S22U but the battery life being worse than the S21U is frustrating. I didn't really need the S-pen either... so with extended support I'm looking at a used S21U, it's half the price now. Don't understand how phone brands can take backwards steps like this. But people still buying it I guess...

its actually the same as old note just with a newer more battery draining processor.
Tested it for a week already, i'd rather stick to Xiaomi 11 Ultra, even that outlasted this phone without 5G on!

hmm, if ultra battery is so lausy what i read another site reviews i forget it for sure.
but, i wait gsmarena review and hope...

anyway,if its true my next phone might be xiaomi 12 pro,pro max apple 13 or 14.

and, i dont like that pen for galaxy ultra, i have it samsung note some year ago bcoz i think i 'need it' but no,its useless and its drop few times ,so i release that its just useless if you really really need it.. i dont.

when they make phone without front camera....

But I agree with the sad trend of removal of 3.5mm HP Jack the most, and to some extent the mSD slot as well (somewhat mitigated by the USB3.1 to quickly transfer stuff)

This is a tech site so more people are naturally interested in the Ultra, but overall sales will almost surely go to the S22 and S22+ which make much more sense for the public to buy.

I pre ordered the ultra, but then canceled the order after watching many reviews... The battery life is even worst than the 21 ultra and that is very important for me, I don't know why android devices are not working on optimizing their phones to have better battery life... As if time froze for Android devices in last 3 years... You have much bigger batteries and yet iPhone is managing up to 40% more battery life... After being android advocate for over 10 years... Im seriously thinking about switching to iPhone

Looking at 2020->2021 trend and with leaks on every aspect of this year's Android phones, it's a simple question of logic and probability.
It's plethora of features and engineering cast an overpowering shadow on the price; coupled with the global shortage and chinese prices, Samsung delivers quality and quantity.
I pre-ordered the Ultra version. Sadly, the true Android competitor, Huawei, is out of the race, due to gsm absence.
Will I enjoy the Samsung device? Yes. Will I compare it to the Mate20pro? Yes, and still remain in awe with Huawei's bleeding edge flagship performance and stellar battery life. All Mate20pro users I know sigh in despair, as they have tasted smartphone heaven.
With that level of criticism, I am waiting for the Ultra to arrive(a bit early, apparently). It better deliver.

S22 ultra was a much needed release from samsung but s22 has completely disappointed. S10e had card reader, headphone jack in smaller and lighter dimensions, not sure why s22 couldn't have gone that way. In s22's dimensions pixel 5 offered way better battery considering no headphone jacks n card reader in both. Waiting for dont to release a true 140*70 compact phone with no compromises.

The difference between the ultra and its siblings is huge, but no the price difference.

i always see a poll like this from the last year. People vote not to buy the specific one, but in my country many people bought the phone.

It's the difference in the digital divide. But hey, the smaller variants can be interesting as well— like I'm seeing more AWW votes than the S22+ thus 1000+ votes for the smallest S22 🥰
