SuuperBaka, 18 Feb 2022Oh boy....At 0.48 micron the sensor should be around 1/1.35-1.4" ... So. 1/1.5" is just a wrong info.

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2022Samsung Semicon's goal is pixel of 0,48 micron. Oh boy....

would love to see motorola bump themseves up in the market. its actually surprising what you get in the phones in the midrange price.

Moto image processing is bad so who cares about MP and sensor.
4500mah is low for a hot running 8gen1 chip that burns battery.

          Next!

Let's hope this device will be a proof that even in 2022 megapixel count doesn't mean as much. But maybe I'm wrong and it'll be spectacular, though I doubt it.

SA466, 18 Feb 2022Was excited for this since I tjought this would use Samsung... moreTrue, but this phone probably won't come with high end flagship prices. Probably similar in price to something like the regular Xiaomi 12 or Realme gt2 pro but with slightly better hardware specifications. More like an entry level flagship. I think they know not many people will choose them if they go the very high end route so they are focusing on offering the cheapest flagships at present

Until Motorola doesn't come up with a consistent robust update policy its phones will fail to compete in the flagship market.

Already sd 8 gen 1 is a toaster and now OVERCLOCKED plus version...moto 30 pro was horrible with 8gen1

[deleted post]The Nokia 808 had 40MP in 2012. It is easy to do a 194MP 1.5 sensor with 2022 industrial process of semiconductors. It is not so easy to have a good image quality. The problem will surely be a very mediocre ilage processing with a lot of ilage sharpening, halos everywhere and bad colors/HDR. Samsung proved it many many times.

                            i think this will be omnivision 0.61um 200mp camera , so i wonder why don't make 1.4um 50mp camera ?

when it goes to binned 50mp mode to capture image or 8k video it will have better sensitivity than standard 50mp 1.4um camera from the omnivision press release, also it can do 4K HDR with 3‑exposure staggered HDR timing

They could probably do refinements to the logo though, like Samsung did back in 2005 going from their 1993 logo, or like what Xiaomi recently did. But I doubt they will.
