Anonymous, 22 Feb 2022ARM is a companyThen perhaps the discussion of ARM in that comment needs a bit more resolution around it. ARM is an always will be the architecture or foundation for design of modern computing design in microprocessors, however over the decades yes it is more formerly know as a company....much like everyone knew Nokia as a phone maker but Nokia is and always will be more than just a phone maker....

dude111, 21 Feb 2022Well, it has the same clocks as the M1 cores. Why is that s... moreCause ghz says nothing. M1 has more powerful cores and higher power consumption.

As impressive as Mt has gotten lately, they are still not stable enough to face exynos and snapdragon. But they're in the correct path. SD has to step up their game in the next gen chips.

Who would need such performance? Phones lately became power-hungry and overheated bricks, instead of being effective. It is only a race and people buy the marketing BS while we ruin Earth.

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2022My biggest issue with Dimensity 9000 is that it's bein... moreI wholeheartedly agree. I am also optimistic for the D9000's performance, but I can't really call anything until the phones come out and the numbers are verified. Like sure, thorium nuclear fusion radioactive salt reactor electric cars sound amazing, but I can't say they're the best cars around until they actually are in people's hands and driving around.

Great chipset but how is power consumption.

Void Bot, 22 Feb 2022I dont for one-second trust Mediatek. Chinese company likel... moreRidiculous!
First of all, Mediatek is taiwanese, not chinese.

As Cortex X2 runs at 3.05ghz on D9000 and 3.00ghz on 8 Gen 1, it's normal to see a little better Geekbench single core score.
                                  As the 3 Cortex A710 d'un at 2.85ghz on D9000 and 2.5ghz on 8 Gen 1, it's normal to see a better multicore score.
If there's any cheating on Geekbench, it is on both chipset, simple to understand!

Most so-called cheating is based on task scheduling, all companies use task scheduling, that's how modern microprocessors work!...Mediatek was accused to force app like PCMark to use big cores. A benchmark should use the best ressources...PCMark didn't!

                                  About Antutu...
It's normal to see a betterave CPU score on D9000 as I allready explain.
It's normal to see better memory score...due to bigger cache and faster lpddr5x
You won't get many point with UI.
Cheating on GPU is very hard...you can step up thermal limitations, but that's all...effect is limited on a short test.
                                  Plus D9000 uses TSCM's 4nm which is better the Samsung's 4nm used on 8 Gen 1

im putting my trust on mediatek. they're the only company rn that is having tsmc making their chipsets. whilst qualcomm switches to samsung for no reason.

                                        hope it doesn't overheat
