And here in my country we got free Galaxy Watch 4 & 45w adapter with preorder any S22 series, this freebies alone make preorder S22 much worth than buying S21 with the price difference is not that much

Still, that's not the point I was making. I'm saying using wording like "overwhelming response" makes no sense. That implies there's reason for surprise here. Of course a country that didn't have a network that made proper use of Samsung's flagship phones would hit record sales once they got the network. Although they still can't make much use of 5G.

First, 70k doesn't mean anything in India. Second, 70k doesn't mean anything without last year's value. If last year they sold 400k, well we can clearly see what removing features and increasing prices brings to them. Me : not getting any S22 "joke" series (increasing price, removing microSD, removing jack, smaller battery, overprocessed pictures, expensive, ...).

I'm... moreif you're one of those that thinks monthly "security" updates are worth the premium sammy charges for them, go ahead and spend a grand on the s22+
but if you were a sane person, just get the s21+ from last year, it would be a lot cheaper and practically the same phone (and you can buy a "midranger" with what you save), unless you think having a glass back is far more important than anything else in the phone.

I'm currently using a ~5 year old S8 and want to know if its about the same or worse than that is (when was new).
If its terrible, I'm more likely to go for the s22+.

Every year after release Samsung breaks some record and then at the end of the years when the numbers of sold flagships are out you can see they are going down even more.
I'm sure the sales will be better in India due to snapdragon being used but I doubt it will be that high. It's all just hype. (Remember that article Xiaomi selling billion phones in one second...)
Last year their numbers were saved by A line now I can't wait to see the numbers when they include exynos and take out the headphone jack from the A line.
IF it turns out to be how I think it will be, I hope it will be their wake up call to bring back features that made them amazing.

Indians have been asking Samsung to provide Snapdragon Chipset with the S Series for last few years and once they did everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.Kudos to Samsung!
