I can't think of any reason why they skipped even the OIS??
Does it not have any or does it just come with regular OIS instead of that fancy pants OIS?

Why make the Dimensity version worse? I smell something fishy and it smells like Qualcomm.

We need the Dimensity Edition for the vanilla find x5 please. The pro is too heavy because of the ceramic back that can help with the heat dissipation that the Dimensity doesn't need. Either but the Dimensity in the vanilla or at least remove the damn ceramic back. Is that really hard to see or do !

People, it isn't like this Find X5 Pro has NO stabilization; Samsung made no claims about using superior OIS yet has the best stabilization when using Super Steady video.
Regular OIS vs the 5-axis OIS will not make too much difference. The MariSilicon X chip is a bummer though.
All can be forgiven though if the Dimensity 9000 proves to manage heat better. If it can, that puts Mediatek right on the top for me given how severely the Exynos and SD chips throttle.

Anyway, just 80 dollars cheaper doesn't worth it. I will not sacrifice camera quality.

Wow, they gimped the camera completely. There is no point in buying the phone without the OIS, the color correction and the ISP. What is the point of buying the D9000 version then? Playing benchmarks benchmarks? By the time you are spending as much as the D9000 version costs, you might as well spend a bit more and get the SD version.

Without Hasselblad branding the price should be much much lower but ... Nope.. Oppo just choose to be greedy.
Bet the still image will be closely identical to SD version ..

Only an $80 difference between the two versions? That's not enough to lure away the Snapdragon. If Oppo can be more aggressive with the pricing of the Dimensity version, that can be a completely different matter.

AnonD-994853, 25 Feb 2022I will take the mediatek anytime. Since snapdragon 8 gen 1 ... moreIt is an oven but they said future chips from sd will be made on TSMC 4nm node so they should be better.
Im not defending sd by any means, we need healthy competition.

AnonD-994853, 25 Feb 2022I will take the mediatek anytime. Since snapdragon 8 gen 1 ... moreMariSilicon is not present on Dimensity model (as per the news article). I wonder how price will be affected given that Dimensity should be cheaper, no MariSilicon and also cut down OIS as well as no Hasselblad branding. Should bring cost down significantly without any serious downgrades to usability.

I prefer this camera bump to the S22U, as the lens are more protected & not catching dust.

I will take the mediatek anytime. Since snapdragon 8 gen 1 is an oven. Since the isp uses the same marisillicon, so image and video aren't affected by the chipset swap
