[deleted post]Point is :
Why other care about number of units sold, Apple cares about money made.
- The most popular iphone riht now is iphone 13. The cheapest iphone is in USA and cost about $800.
- The most popular devices from xiaomi are redmi note that cost less than $400.
- most popular from samsung are A52 and A32 that cost less than $450.
- most popular of Oppo are from A series
- most popular from vivo are Y series.
While other are selling dozens of millions of sub-$400 phones, Apple is selling same amount of devices that cost over $800.
If Apple cared about marketshare, could easily make a "iphone 13c" with older cpu like A13/14, plastic back, single rear 1/2.6" camera, HD LCD , 2700mAh and sell it for $350. It would surely easily sell near 100 million units. But would bring less money thannselling expensive models.
SE2 despite the $400 tag has never been popular like 6, 6s , 7 and 8.

Super Secret, 25 Feb 2022I am a bit furious why people still supports that OVERPRICE... moreSame here but Americans are suckers for Apple. SMH.
Apple has been leading in mobile profits for well over a decade now. Since emulations takes so many steps on iOS, I refuse to use iPhone ever again. Android gives me all the entertainment I need with movies and TV shows via streaming and torrent apps, retro games via emulation, e-books, and music.
Apple offers nothing for me except a good video and screen recorder.

[deleted post]That's not what I meant. I meant people will stop buying Apple phones if they let iOS be leased by other companies. Chinese companies will come up with better phones then at far lower prices

These revenues are only because of one fact that Apple keeps their software exclusive to their phones. They are over the day they let their iOS be used by other companies because no one will then buy their overpriced phones anymore

zodiacfml, 25 Feb 2022im a tech guy and gamer but my 2021 phone is only $200😁There's nothing wrong with that. I miss the days when I was happy with 200€ phones. And then I got spoiled by expensive ones...

There's something fundamentally wrong with a consumer who is celebrating how much they're over paying for a product.

Not shocking. I know a couple of people that "upgraded" to an iphone 11. They aren't worried about 120hz, 100x zoom cameras and all those other gimmicks. They just need a phone that takes nice pic's, allows them to be on social media and let's them communicate with their family and friends.
Unfortunately for android phone manufacturers, most consumers are not spec chasers. They need to build the image of their brand and entice consumers with the overall experience. Not just fill the spec sheet.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2022you ignoring the fact that iOS global market share is just ... moreLol, you people really like to throw that number around. Until you need to whine about "monopoly" Apple has, then you're quickly quoting only US numbers where Apple has a larger market share. But only when it's convenient. Also, what's even your point? It's like bragging that only 25% of people own high performance sports cars, like that's a bad thing or something lol

[deleted post]Just because people want consistent and reliable devices with long software support doesn't make them "a cult". And iPhones have outstanding performance despite not flashing big numbers on paper like literally everyone else does. It seems you're just jealous or something.
