i am a type of person who once my phone repaired, i am anxious of my phone not to be wet.... because some repair shops didn't restore water resistance by applying water sealing adhesives or gasket. and i hope EU pressure apple of adapting usb C on their iphones.... usb 2.0 SUCKS a lot and too damn slow on data transfer to PC

Sean, 27 Feb 2022Wrong. It was Oppo with the R5 in 2014.Ohhh, I totally forgot about that phone completely. Too bad that no YouTuber seemed to talk about the R5 afterwards, which is likely why I have forgotten all about it. R5 was truly a one of a kind phone.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2022Dude, iPhones don't even use USB-C for crying out loud... moregot mixed up with thunderbolt! what i meant is that iPhones come with lightning to type C adaptor cables in the box, so there's no need to be designing, and selling, an iPhone with a type C connector...

Sean, 27 Feb 2022Wrong. It was Oppo with the R5 in 2014.Samsung GT-S5230 Star didn't have a headphone jack in 2009

I thought they couldn't put a USB c port on an iPhone because it would "stifle innovation"?

I have an iPad 7th generation 10.2 and it does not have the standard charging port, it has the lightning cable port just like the iPhones.

The Flip, 26 Feb 2022What's ironic is Apple was the first to introduce USB-... moreTheir phone brings them more fame and maybe money than the laptops. They try to maximize the profits. Having people locked down to their unwanted cable is the best way to influence them to upgrade to the same platform. iPhones have USBC, people will feel way more free to switch platform or use iPhones on more serious computers, or ditch their overpriced accessories. But Apple will be cornered very soon (EU laws) and they will be forced to change their sneaky business model.

What's ironic is Apple was the first to introduce USB-C to the mainstream with the 2015 MacBooks. They were really the first company to push for this new standard for laptops and tablets but still refuse to have it for their smartphones.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2022Apple is and has always been all about money. Everything el... moreEvery company is about money. It's called having a business. They wouldn't enter it if they couldn't profit. Even Google is acting more greedy these days. Xiaomi got greedy. OnePlus too.

Nothing stays cheap or free forever. Look at Google Photos having a storage limit for recent Pixels. Google wants more money. They also bombard me with YouTube Premium ads.

If somebody could sell an iPhone X with USB-C for $86K, I say go for it. Apple's refusal to adopt for their iPhones while MacBooks and iPads already have it means a great financial opportunity for someone else on e-Bay.

Even if iPhone 14 got USB-C, I still wouldn't get it since I dread iOS and Apple's overrated ecosystem. I believe iPhone will never get USB-C and go directly to just MagSafe charging. The next iPhones will eventually be port-less.

apple wouldn't as they will lose lot of money and they wouldn't be able to fool their customers
