only be sold in china. huawei flagship user experience is so cropped and do not worth a proper fluid flagship price at all. huawei is becoming too greedy.

they should find a way to keep making kirin even if is without 5g, my friend's p50 pro battery is worst than p40 pro and is all because of snapdragon, based on youtube reviews the kirin version has almost the same battery life as 13 pro max which is substantially more than snapdragon version

I was a bit unsure if I should still invest in Huawei, but it payed off. I have all the apps I need from the Apkpure app store, with regular updates and the phone is a beast. My wife has the iPhone 13 pro max but i wouldn't change mine for hers in this lifetime. Also the cameras take better photos than on the iPhone, there is no comparison.

I was and still am, a massive fan of huawei devices. I had the P9 and i was hooked, p20 pro is still the best phone ive owned. BUT, much like many other regular users (so the majority of people) i use google to back up all of my data and i always have. purely because i dont want to have to not use google services and i dont exactly want to side load incomplete browser versions of apps, i havent had a huawei since the ban. the network i work for, and many others in the uk, simply stopped selling them. Its sad to see it happen to them because i feel like if they still had access to trading with western companies for parts and googles android, theyd be storming the market as they always did. I dont see them lasting another few years. Like OnePlus eventually will, huawei is gonna fade into obscurity.
I hope im wrong

However, in 2019 the Trump administration successfully lobbied the Dutch government to block the sale of ASML lithography machines to China. I'm not sure how they managed to do this but anyway the current situation is that the Dutch government won't allow ASML to supply Chinese companies due to the US intervention.

Profits for Huawei are still strong. So they definitely have the possibility to make a Mate 50. However, a Huawei Mate phone has never launched in recent years without a Kirin chip, and that chip is the selling point of a Huawei Mate, beyond the usual improvements and innovation. (Heh, remember how Huawei always made something new in their Mate phones, like reverse wireless charging, optical fingerscanner + 3D face ID, ultra slow-mo, eye-tracking for orientation?)
We'll maybe have to wait another year or maybe a few more for SMIC to catch up. As things stand, TSMC will NOT be able to make the chips for Huawei.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2022They need their own fabs badly. Not going to happen quickly though unfortunately. America won't allow advanced EUV lithography machines to be sold to Chinese companies so there is currently no possibility of Chinese companies manufacturing high end chips for many years if the rules stay the same

My mate 40 pro still performs better than my pixel 6 Pro and xiaomi 11t pro. Hopefully they surprise us with something amazing.
Will be skipping this one if there is no 5g support. I live in London and get great 5g coverage everywhere so it's a must for me.

Mate series was like best series i mean, phone and brand.
Litterary after only premium brand ever existed which was it is and always will be VERTU.
Mate series with their Porsche design was the most close to the premium brand or phone.
The only another exception to this is a like to say sub brand which is Caviar which makes premium likes phone and gadgets from Apple and Samsung and sometimes Sony.
