With respect to the x4 pro: "Please upgrade to downgrade" seems to be the idea here. More money for less phone, at least for the parts that matter. They should have just left the "pro" out of the name and made it an upgrade to the x3 nfc, then they'd have an upgrade, for a significantly higher price still, but at least an upgrade, now it's a pure downgrade.
With respect to the m4 pro: this seems to be an actual improvement over the previous model, still significantly more expensive though. I guess global inflation has reached China as well...

with poco x3 pro, you can play GI in 60fps high ... in poco x4 pro you can barely play GI in low settings !!! 😁
in poco x3 pro you can record video up to 4k/60fps ... in poco x4 pro with "108" you are limited to 1080p/30 max !!! 😂
where is my mind ???

Wow, they absolutely destroyed the value with the Poco X4 Pro 5G, big downgrade from the X3 Pro.
Only upgrade on these is the thinner design, and I‘m not sure it‘s anything anyone complained about with the predecessors.

IpsDisplay, 28 Feb 2022But that's what you guys wanted.. Old formula was: ... moreAlso 5g is partly to blame for the price hike. I live in a city with 5g connectivity but prefer to use 4g as it drains less battery for speeds that are almost the same. Maybe in a few years it will be worth getting a 5g device but as of now it seems unnecessary to pay more for an unfinished feature.

Breaking news:
The m4 pro has better:
Video stabilization
Faster read and writes.. storage speeds
Faster WiFi speeds
Wide vine L1
Over the more expensive X4pro.. the xrpro really is a major disgrace to its former phone in everyway

Xiaomi wants to keep the price wise despite we have the chips shortage issue. Definitely this year or Q1-next would not be a good news for budgeters.

Yeah, sure it might be a downgrade from X3 Pro except for screen, but as an owner of a non-pro X3, I'm starting to really consider this to upgrade (got a cracked screen and AMOLED interests me).
Except if anyone is aware of any phone which have AMOLED screen, high refresh rate, headphone jack, same price AND a better snapdragon chip (nothing against Mediatek, but sadly we can't really expect custom roms on devices with their chips).

Regarding the Poco X4 Pro, I would have preferred a Snapdragon 870 or equivalent in exchange for the camera and AMOLED screen. Seeing as how the launch price for Poco X4 Pro is more expensive than last year's Poco X3 Pro, it could've been justified to put in a stronger SoC and maybe even a sturdier build quality. But that's just me.
