Poco X4 Pro 5G and Poco M4 Pro announced, both with AMOLED displays

28 February 2022
The X4 Pro 5G packs a 108 MP camera, quite an upgrade over the X3 Pro. The M4 Pro is a 4G version of the M4 Pro 5G from last year.

AnonD-994853, 28 Feb 2022Even though the Poco X4 Pro has worse chipset than X3 Pro. ... moreI was never fan of top shelf chips, as in everyday usage sd6xx is enough, but I need to say that Poco series is know for its power and price and putting that sd6xx is tad bad.
I personally switched to Poco x3 pro last year and... well I need to say that its nice to have extra power... and plastic body(Im not kidding, after years of phones with glass back I finally dont need to worry about messing it).

It is funny how some people here think a $800 phone powered by 888 would suddenly cost $300 if it had 690/695 instead.

Pathetic other here want 3 y.o old 855, but bash when non-chinese phones use cpu of previous generation.

      Old formula was:

LCD +flagship grade processor+ amazing price

Now people bash LCD demanded AMOLED

we have proven successors with the X3pro, Mi 6 one plus 1 and Poco F1

But everyone just went nope AMOLED no matter what!! And now you are all in the comment section complaining about 695

And it is so bad now that manufacturers now but displays at the forefront of value for money.. when once upon a time it was about the class of chipset used

"In fact, this phone isn’t a direct upgrade from the X3 Pro. This one focuses on screen, camera and battery, while other components like the chipset are deprioritized – the X4 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 695."

It seems like the X3 Pro is still a great buy in terms of performance, especially when it comes to custom ROMs.

Less see whats Samsung has to offer in upcoming M and F series .

And if the X4 GT is another failure (Dimensity 920), definately Xiaomi will check the Poco X3 Pro again.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2022Ridiculously overpriced with snapdragon 695I wish Snapdragon 695 didn't exist. Just because it has A78 core and has a smaller node many manufacturers are using it as an excuse to use it in 350+£ phones. Snapdragon 695s ISP and AI engine is very weak. Snapdragon obviously has cut corners to include a78 and 6nm process.

All that wait for x4 pro and we're getting snapdragon 695. Time to get a x3 pro before the price increase or the stock finishes.

The only real upgrade is the AMOLED screen, because the rest is a MASSIVE Downgrade.
Lower quality speakers, far lower durability, less battery, far worse RAM and storage speeds, far lower processor version.
Also, has worse cooling system due the low performance processor.

For me this is a downgrade and is a solid candidate to be called the fail of the year.

Yawn. Just a rebrand from Note 11 series with minor design change with same specs. Poco is giving Realme chances this year. Mediatek G96 and Snapdragon 695 are overrated this year.

                                JustSayYeah, 28 Feb 2022Now I don't regret buying X3pro Same here.

I think most of use who bought Poco X3 Pro have been validated. It's a relief we bought Poco X3 Pro I got the 8/256 variant for only $200 last year's 12.12 sales (I missed out the 11.11 sales).

Also I think Xiaomi has now recently stopped producing Poco X3 Pro because the product which I bought last year was already delisted from their global store and atm all I see from their store are the F3 and the new models.

Snapdragon 695 features A78 cores, not A76. Correct me if I'm wrong..

it seems poco and redmi wants to use lower processor because the next gen (X5 Pro) maybe they will give SD778G from 690, so this will appear to be an improvement from before. this is marketing, same as Redmi Note 3 to Note 4, they use 650 but downgrade to 625. Redmi Note 3 was very succesfull so they didn't worry about downgrade.

Ace performance bs .. they ruined the X series which should be come directly from their R&D ... Not some rebadge phone from Redmi / Xiaomi ... The "independent" bragging at beginning of presentation means nothing if they keep rebadge.

It is an easy job to provide a direct successor for X3 NFC ... Upgrade to 5G chip, amoled, remove one useless camare, upgrade fast charging , keep the same price and call it a day!

There is nothing wrong with og x3 nfc, it almost perfect.. yet they decided to call this x4 pro with downgrade to 600 series ... Stupid Poco.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2022i can come up with much better design free of chargeBut will that design meet logistic standards

And enable the phone to be manufactured at mass scale with good yields all while maintaining the best business relationship with your suppliers and their potential contracts

And meet production deadlines all while not clashing with other designs in their product line up??
