Sony Xperia 1 IV renders leak

28 February 2022
It should be this year's flagship device from the Japanese company.

It somehow reminds me of the design during the XZ era. I remembered the XZ1 series having a very flat boxy-like side.

I am interested in foldables the future.. but I really like what sony is doing here. I love japan for this reason… technologically they are the most modern yet, they don’t forget the heritage

I will consider buying this if Sony guarantees minimum of three years of OS updates and start using a quad bayer sensor. Its current software update policy is pathetic and camera is underwhelming, but they can always try to be better.

        My next phone for sure!
Sorry Samsung! NO SD CARD SLOT = NO BUY!

rizki1, 01 Mar 2022same design again, why did Sony run out of ideas? even thou... moreThere's nothing wrong with their design. It's good to keep it like that since it becomes iconic for Sony phones.

It's actually still unique compared to the clones we see in the market.

Did they finally ditch that godforsaken Google assistant button?

SweatOnYourArmpits, 01 Mar 2022Looks like a brick that you wanna throw to a dog. Jokes as... moreSome of us like the look, as for weight, sorry, bu if you cant handle 280gms,i suggest you go see a doctor.
What i dont like about this particular design is the ports in the bottom, i still prefer them at the top.
Going to be pricey, as usual with sony, nicely built, will last years, handy for those of us who buy second hand 2 years after release, if you can find one for sale, some phones are so good that folk stick them away in a draw after they upgrade, like the proper, full zte axon 7,loads of the minis, but very few of the fulls turn up,it had everything i want/need, and can be got for nice low price.

same design again, why did Sony run out of ideas? even though they only released 10 phones in these 2 years.

I hope they will ditch a few-generation-old dim OLED display and replace it with a VRR LTPO panel that also has a higher (I mean MUCH higher than the current sub 650 nits of Xperia 1/Pro-I) peak brightness.

Jokes aside, this phone looks old-school thick and I'm afraid that this phone will be heavy in weight

                        Comeback to India Sony :(

Sim on the bottom with a pin tool?

Interesting that was one of the points for quick storage change for multi media. We'll have to see if that's real or not, as it might benefit for more area or water resistance.

Glad they got rid of that google assistance button, it was pretty useless. Sure you could use it for other things, but it's just a waste of space imo.

I wonder how the processing is with that Sony-Qualcomm partnership for their mobile camera division. I would hope for better auto mode, but we're just gonna have to see.

                              Love the flat sides

Please bring back the monolithic, rectangular, sharp corners boxy retrospective design back Sony
