The pricing @42k+ is a farce.
Should have been under 30k.

KnK, 01 Mar 2022Makes sense that India is not a priority, their older devic... moreyou won't/rarely meet someone use a phone like asus, sony, nokia etc nowdays, since they are only made highend phones and high end phone we know apple and samsung are dominated so yeah. my last time seeing asus phone is from my friend Zenfone 5 that was in 2015-17.

Makes sense that India is not a priority, their older devices were not successful either. I haven't met an ASUS phone owner here in 5+ years. And the few who bought zenfones back then all complained of major software problems.

I think the delay was to justify the price of the device, as launching if after 10 months with a comparatively less price will still not make it a hero product when you have many other options with same chipset or even better ones in Lower price.

Will it support mSD&3.5?
Did they fix the issue with the motherboard?
I was hopping the SD 870 instead of 888 cooler cpu and lower price
I may think of replacing LG G8 if battery didn't keep up

It used to launch as Zenfone but some small and hardly known company called Zen mobiles went to court to prevent ASUS to use the the word "Zen" since the company has existed before Asus started selling phones in the country. So the verdict was in their favour and Asus had to stop calling it Zenfone.
So since Zenfone 5 or so, they dropped the word Zenfone and call it 5z, 6z and so on

Asus cannot use the Zenfone moniker in India. GSMArena had reported this a couple of years back.

well 43k INR for an early 2021 smartphone is pointless. If it launched at say 30k ish price, I would've gone for one. Asus also isn't launching budget phones idk what's up with that.

ZenUI is amazing and the phone is great too. If only it was 2021 though...

I hope future compact phones (including Asus) will have a telephoto/periscope. Currently I am stuck with a S21U because I love having the zoom cameras, but I'm not a fan of the big size.

As an Asus user utterly disappointed by lack of interest in indian market buy the brand and who will buy this very late launched small battery and slow charging phone at 43000₹ ( almost 570 dollars), come on Asus you can do better.

Official channels here in the Philippines put that phone on huge sale last holiday season ($500 from ~$750) was tempted to buy one but found out the ramdump issue and prevented me, I thought they were pulling the plug on the production. Very weird.
