it's like saying samsung next flagship will use last year technology, lol
even if they really use that powervr gpu, samsung will never make it slower than ipad 4. believe me.

It's already obsolete even before it came out. The new chips from Apple will soon come out together with the new iPads and will make Samsung's already obsolete chip even more obsolete.

What the hell Samsung? PowerVR!!!??? SERIOUSLY? What's really wrong with the new Mali? I was afraid of you pushing the 604 and was hoping for a 658 or to dare thinking of 678... You really fooled us with putting the aging 400 in the S3 and now you want to make it worser with PowerVR?
Only hopes they'll optimize it or the whole news to be a mere rumor which I doubt.
Looks like they're not interested in my money but I'm going to buy anyway. Best of the worst! >:(

Before people start complaining, this is a massive jump compared to S2 -> S3, this is more like S1 -> S2, not only are we getting a better CPU + GPU but a smaller process as well 28nm (from 32nm).

They are threaten by sony / htc / huawei and zte.. Pushing their chip out fast.
But even if rumor is true.. powervr is not to be underlooked.

This is still only speculation from Anantech, not actual fact from Samsung. So anything could stiill be possible.

I'm just interested in the CPU power and this seems to be awesome. I'm sure though that Samsung will go on and release a later version of their SOC with better graphics.
This is probably just a stop-gap measure to get the SOC into production.
