Samsung Galaxy A13 and A23 unveiled with 6.6" FHD+ displays and 50MP cameras

04 March 2022
The two devices are quite similar to each other. The A13 is a 4G phone and changes quite a bit from the Galaxy A13 5G.

I'll prefer waiting for another samsung phone that use super amoled screen. This phone (Galaxy A23) have a good design but sadly it's really downgrade than its predecessor. The Galaxy A13 is still acceptable to me because of it's price. I hope samsung fix this problem in the future. Still stay on my m21.

A23 got massacred. Lost OIS, still no UFS storage. The LCD is probably the only good change but it's probably some cheap one.

For me its not acceptable to make phone without bigger cores, A13 will struggle to do even basic tasks.

still using 2010 LCD TFT tech, really?
            i will prefer a 720p AMOLED display
i dont care its low res unless its AMOLED
unless the 850 is a minor upgrade from the old Helio chip

              More E waste.
Entire A series looking to be a massive failure this year.

Looking again, I'll probably just wait for the M-series counterpart (Galaxy M23)

                    Samsung E wastes.

Samsung budget lcd displays are terrible, I don't understand, either ditch lcd for once and for all or buy good lcd panels since you can't make them yourselfs.

YUKI93, 04 Mar 2022The A23 4G's chipset has been downgraded from the A22 ... moreCortex A75 are better than A73 that's for sure but you're forgetting that G80 has only 2 x A75 cores, while Snapdragon 665 (his real challenger) has 4 x A73. They are pretty much the same in cpu perfomance. You can check nanoreview for the more precise results yourself.

While Snapdragon 680 sounds not too atractive it's better then both of the mentioned because it's made in almost 200% smaller node size which has a little gain in performance but much higher impact on batteries endurance time.

I expect phones arriving with SD 680 chipset will be a power house for those who prioritise longer battery life before anything else

I hope the TFT on A23 is not the TFT I remembered from my 2016 laptop. The colors were too muted for my liking.

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2022No chipset revealed even after launch? What is 5mp ultra w... moreThe A23 is getting a Snapdragon 680, although the A13's chipset hasn't been said yet. They will likely say what it is before the phones actually release though, since this is just the unveiling and they'll release the phones later in the month.

Not terrible, honestly. A13 does have improvements over last year, although the A23 has it's upgrades and downgrades, one being the slightly bigger 1080p but 60hz TFT LCD display instead of the 720p but 90hz AMOLED on the A22. Some people may prefer that, though.

Also, I quite like how Samsung's phone design has stayed quite consistent this year so far, compared to previous years. The A series will likely now have a way more consistent design throughout A1_, A2_, A3_, A4_, A5_, A7_ and A8_/Quantum_. At least I hope so. We don't talk about the A0_.

Wouldn't be awfully surprised if these phones sell like hotcakes again seeing how much the A12 and A22 sold.
