Anonymous, 08 Mar 2022I sure hope no future iPhone will ever have a plastic back,... moreAs SE 2022, released, even I don't want its back to be plastic, 429 dollars, no plastic. I agree. In India, by conversion rate; it will be reaching 640 dollars for 128 GB version. I don't know how battery will perform ? Present SE 2020 user. Hardly get past 3 pm.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2022Have you seen this phone's size specs? It's on... moreThere is something known as increase in thickness. Plastic back will reduce the weight. Just telling and wishing; like many people. I am SE 20202 user.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2022Truth must be told... I had several Androids at around 300 ... morePeople who want this type of cheap iPhone, are people who are already in IOS, but with older cheap iPhone models (iphone 7, 8, SE1, whatever) or people who want to try IOS for the first time, but don't want to buy an expensive iPhone from the start.
People who have/had Android flagship phones, will never look at this model.
Not even people with older iPhones, but more premium or bigger models (something like iPhone X or Xs or even iPhone Xr), will not look at this iPhone as a possible purchase. For me will be illogical.

Truth must be told... I had several Androids at around 300 dollars and all of them were bad in quality, feeling old and slow within a year or developing annoying issues like speakers not working or constantly rebooting. The SE maybe old fashioned in design and an average battery but it is 100% premium feeling fantastic in your hand like a much more expensive iPhones and because of its powerful chip it will be fast for many years. I still have the first gen SE and I can tell you... it outperforms in both performance and quality every similarly priced Android I have owned. The SE makes sense for most people who want a phone at around 300 dollars. I hope they don't be deceived by the big screens and looks of Android phones... they are really low quality, waste of money. If you like Android and quality go directly to a flagship otherwise the SE is the only option to get both premium and cheap. Be wise...

ipolit.matveich, 07 Mar 2022If the price and the specs are correct, this might have hug... moreThing is, iPhones feel great in hand. Like, properly hefty with really solid build and precision. I've had few Chinese all glass and metal phones and they still felt cheap in hand and they quickly developed some sort of weird gaps between frame and glass. And vibration motors on iPhones were always whole another dimension. I still can't get over how touch "Home" button on iPhone 6 or was it 7 felt like it's a physical button that moves when pressed. It literally had a clicking feel and it was all simulated by Taptic Engine. I don't know how others evolved, but I thought others were fine until I experienced iPhone's vibration first hand.

If the price and the specs are correct, this might have huge impact on Android phones. Currently there is no Android phone for 300-350 USD with powerful SoC, non plastic frame and good enough haptic motor. And for me the size is an advantage. Of course most of the people want big display, I also could live with big phone, but the plastic frames are something I cannot shallow.

It's one of the smallest phone possible. How to you squeeze a bigger battery without risking it bursting into flames?

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2022At 300$ with an A15 is a freaking steal We will have to see, A13 on the SE 2020 drained the battery super fast (but also depends on the user). A15 on the 13 series was pretty good with regard to battery run time.

Dr. Stephen Strange, 07 Mar 2022If this mobile is that cheap, why can't they put plast... moreBecause modifying any aspect of it means new certifications and or higher cost because they need to change manufacturing.

If this mobile is that cheap, why can't they put plastic back rather than glass back and increase battery capacity little bit more. No increase in weight, but at least back up time will be better. Make it at least 2100 mAh. Alas, apple is not caring the read what some random person has written on GSMarena.

The battery was trash in previous generation, and that with 4g. With 5g will be a real disaster.
