Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ to be made by TSMC

07 March 2022
Samsung's manufacturing process is not up to Qualcomm's standards, it seems.

if it comes out that there are really some issues with 8 gen 1 then s22 ultra is no more option for me. if after so many years of semiconductor manufacturing Samsung has still problems then Qualcomm is good to leave them alone with their exynos chips. so many years exynos was always inferior to snapdragon and it seems that it's not going to change. Samsung uses optimizing service (GOS) to drop CPU performance by half to ensure the phone will not collapse. I'm done with Samsung. bye, bye, forever!

Snapdragon is always the best. Only some processors are overheating. My phone never overheats. Running Snapdragon 720G.

I don't know why they have taken so long to get their production out of Samsung if they have only had headaches!! Samy has become very greedy

This particular SoC made at TSMC will be razor sharp close to the A15 in terms of multicore scores. The single core score will be quite a bump up too. And that crazy A15 killing GPU will obliterate the already smashed A15 benchmarks for its GPU.

This could very much rival Dimensity 9000. Which to me. Is already better than the A15.

The GPU on the 8 Gen 1 is already A15 beating. But the the CPU aspect will be improved quite a bit with TSMC and the fact that it will be Overclocked. Combined. That's quite a serious SoC. Forget the A15...
