Riddler, 08 Mar 2022So I have a question: Once 12L rolls out would a normal pho... moreHighly doubt that things like that would be happen. Screen Cast only purely displays what's on the phone screen. Unlike the Samsung DeX which changes the display on the screen when connected to a bigger screen.

YUKI93, 10 Mar 2022Looking forward to the 12L update on Microsoft Surface Duo ... moreBut obviously LG always did a better job than google...
back in the days before offical floating windows, LG already got a floating calculator preinstalled since android 6? and I loved that.

Looking forward to the 12L update on Microsoft Surface Duo 2. I wonder if LG will also use 12L for DualScreen-supported models.

Samsung has been getting quicker at phone updates lately, let's hope they speed up tablet updates aswell, but tablets have much more complicated Samsung skinning so may take more time, unfortunately. Hopefully 12L will mean Samsung has to skin less, there for quicker updates in the future?

Its pointless trying to polish a turd. What people need is more optimized apps for tablets and more quality apps for android in general.

Personally, I don't see what the fuss is. I don't like when the OS changes the UI without users having an option to select whether or not they actually want that change like the tablet apps back in the Honeycomb days. Personally I much prefer the Android tablet experience over the iPad as someone who has both options. iPad is a smoother experience, but the UI is fairly useless even if it's smooth AF. The bigger problem of Android tablets vs iPads is that on iOS developers target iPad and make applications with a tablet first experience. This pretty much doesn't exist on Android. Making some tablet UI that automatically switches on when the screen is larger than 8" or something is not going to solve that problem. It's just going to annoy users that may not prefer that switch.

So I have a question: Once 12L rolls out would a normal phone with latest OS switch to 12L like mode once it is casted on a bigger screen? Like for example Xperia III wich has a display out over usb-c.

I mean yeah, they could integrate the top status bar into the bottom bar. I guess aesthetics are more important.
