No matter what iPhone I had in the past (from non-fast charging ones to 20W fast charging ones), from 85-100% it takes ages. And the last 2% from 98-100% I think it takes 15 minutes.
Of course, if you have something like iPhone 13 Pro Max/iPhone 12 Pro Max/iPhone 11 Pro Max it will not matter. Because 85% of those phones batteries will give 1 and a half day of usage. But for the rest of their line-up, especially the small ones, is not very good. Because 85% would barely get you through the day for something like iPhone 12 or older iPhones (11, Xr, Xs Max, etc.) and at least 2 charging's for something like iPhone 12 mini, iPhone SE2, iPhone Xs or iPhone X.
True, that majority of iPhones loose 3-5% of battery per year in normal usage and maybe 7-8% in heavy usage. So, longer usage with the same battery. Android phones loose at least 2 times more on their batteries health per year.

I find those news very boring. It's not like Apple has a 61W charger, a 96W one, and also a 140W brick too. The 140W charger is comically big but hey. So are Xiaomi's 120W chargers.
Bring them back in the box, Apple. These are nice chargers. I don't know why, but the attention to detail in these bricks is very satisfying, how the ports click in place, and how there's tension in all moving parts of the brick. They are just not worth spending 150 dollars on if they're sold seperately.
