Im done with this brand. I had a Mi 11 Pro i gave it to friend and in the same day it cant connect to wifi anymore. Part of the motherboard stopped working and cost more than 500 dollars to replace it, i searched in google and seems im not the only one with this problem. Phone lasted 11 months and i paid 1050 dollars for it. Im so fkig dissapointed. Xiaomi no more, less than 1 year and its over, im going with Oneplus. I suggest not to buy these phone unless you want a disposable phone.

Samsung is a mess due their SW.
If you want to spend 1K dollar the safe bet is Apple.

wow even the multi score of dimensity 8100 is better than the current 8 gen 1 phones. good job mediatek and tsmc

Almost SD 888 level results with tdp lower than my SD870, which is fenomenal SoC, best one i ever used.

5nm process vs 6nm
CPU : all cores run at 2.85ghz when only one run at 3.0ghz and the 3 others at 2.6ghz on 1200...cache is bigger, ram is faster. Due to cache and lpddr5, even single core perfs are better on 8100 despite lower frequency. (Geekbench : About 840pts on Nord 2's D1200, about 970pts on Realme RMX3562)
GPU : G610 (same as G710 but limited to 6 cores) has twice bigger execution units, you can roughly consider 1 G610 = 2 G77...G610mp6 is about 30% more powerful compare to G77MP9...plus ram bandwidth is better.
ISP are better, able to record 2 4k HDR videos at same time. Pixel rates is 5GP/s (on 8 Gen 1, it's 3.2GP/s)
IA is better
8100 adds wifi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3.

So even Dimensity 8000 (100-less model) will be faster and probably similar priced or even cheaper which is a win for customers. Not to mention there's the newely announced Dimensity 1300 which also will be faster than 778G with even less price.
Mediatek this year has totally killed ALL mid-range chipsets from Qualcomm both in speed and price. All what they need now is delivery to global markets.

Great! At least, the 108MP 1/1.52" sensor with OIS (unlike the overpriced 11T serie!) on both...
Hope to see something else than the usual 8+2 additional sensors at least on Pro + (telephoto X5 could be great)
