I see a lot of old people that didnt grow up with tech and mobile phones that use iphones and even android with home button

4mag, 12 Mar 2022I like the old design of the SE But not everyone agree I find the design fine as well, I just think that it's beginning to get quite outdated compared to every other phone on the market right now, including Apple's own other phones.

I have a feeling they just had spare iPhone 8 parts left over at this point and they had to use them somehow until they use a better and less outdated design for the next SE.

If they just added new colors then it would've felt at least a tad more fresher. Like the green they just added to the iPhone 13 lineup.

What, do I need 120Hz so I can read text of webpage as I'm scrolling it? Who cares? I'll read it when it's not scrolling. It's still scrolls smoothly without any hitching or stuttering. So, what's even a problem? When all phones will have 90 or 120Hz, great, but I'm not going to rush for one specifically. Also Apple does some great animations timing which makes things even further smoother. Some whine over it, but for other 99% of users, it's what gives it this incredible fluidity.

Everything is so smooth and absolutely zero stutter and I'm still on A12 and 60Hz. I've not seen a single Android phone that was ever this smooth after 3 years without a single factory reset. The rest of finicky details like Hz and whatever just becomes entirely irrelevant at this point.

Anonymous, 13 Mar 2022You do realize this same chipset powers flagship iPhones? W... moreIt's not, but no one has claimed high frame rate matters when paired with an inappropriately slow processor.

But the reverse is that no matter how much the processor is over engineered for the SE3 compared to the rest of the hardware, it won't seem smoother than comparably priced higher framerate devices not mismatched with the processor (and there are too many such devices to reasonably list here). The display limits the SE3 experience.

Let’s be real here, this makes really small difference for overall performance.

Anonymous, 13 Mar 2022That's just YOUR random meaningless opinion. Show me a... moreLets be real here--- it performs well because its a 750x1334 LCD display, and it's not going to compare to any 90+hz display in terms smoothness. It'll be capped by 60hz, just like the dark tone contrast will be limited by LCD.

No issue with the iPhone SE3, or anything. Familiar form factor finger print scanner, and gets the job done. But it performs well because it has the luxury of making cuts and keeping half a decade old design aspects (that bezel is disgusting) that other phone lines would be blasted for, even if it's unfair.

The guy he was arguing with said that a mobile soc (m1 ultra in this case) can't compete with desktop ryzens and intels but he said that 'which smartphone processor has 100W' confusing the term mobile for smartphones when the argument wasn't about smartphones. I was just pointing out that the mobile cpu in question is a laptop one not a smartphone one hence it can have 100w of power.

That studio is 25% from a traditional tower size , i mean that its impressive. To have all that power on intel+amd dGpu side i need a tower with over 800W power supply
