Go watch video of chinese phones reach over 50 celsius while charging.
I guess the xiaomi 12 pro at 57 celsius, is not good for battery.

    You aren't even considering:

    - the battery type used 3ç or higher or if the battery is dual cell

-You don't even know the type of fast charging used/approach... MMT etc

    -Voltage to amperes ratio used
-your charging habits (emptying the battery to 0% and charging to 100%..which damages the battey)

-you batteries inherent charging cycle lifespan
-the generation of fast charging used

But thinking takes much effort and people will take the path of least resistance which is trying to confirm their bias so let's generalize that fast charging is bad and preach doomsday SMH

In my opinion they should first focus on getting good battery life and improving cameras before implementing such a feature. Also wireless charging and reverse wireless charging in my opinion need to be improved

Pumpino, 12 Mar 2022I forgot to ask...has your GT Neo 2 received the Android 12... moreNo, I am on Android 11.
I check for software updates manually all the time. Maybe once per week.
But, this is the sad true. Is not my first Chinese phone.

Actually I came from a OnePlus 9 Pro. So, top of the line when it comes to Chinese phones. Maybe just the Mi11 Ultra is better, but that one is not available in my country anyway.
I bought the OnePlus 9 Pro second hand at a very good price, to change my iPhone 12. I needed a big phone with super fast charging and good battery (and in IOS only iPhone 13 Pro Max offers that, but that one is way too expensive). All was ok in Android 11, but then they released the Android 12 update somewhere in January and it was full of bugs. Battery problems, connection issues, heating issues. So, I sold it. At least I didn't loose much money. But I imagine if I had to pay 900-1000€ for it, I would have been really upset.

These ultra fast charging speeds must definitely harm the battery life. I have used the Xiaomi 11T pro for four months and i could definitely feel the Dip.

Nickname optional, 12 Mar 2022Well, it's always like this with the mid-range phones ... moreThere's no real reason that I need Android 12. It's more the principle of it. I got my Galaxy A52 5G cheaply and it was updated in January. My Nord 2 cost me a lot more and it's still waiting.

Realme is supposed to provide monthly patches for 6 months and then bimonthly for another 18 months. That used to be the policy, anyway. Have you manually checked for updates? The January patch on such a new phone isn't good. Both of my phone are on the February patch.

Well we all get what we pay for. If a phone is cheaper, you probably will have less of something, being either software updates, poorer construction, bad cameras etc
There are no free lunches. Sometimes brands manage to hide the poorer aspect of the phone because it doesn't show at first sight and one of those easily "hideable" aspects is the future software updates. Because you never know how it's gonna be....

If you want the latest Android on your phone, you are better of with buying a new mid-range phone, rather than waiting for your current phone to get updated.
I think their business model is constructed in this way too.
Anyway, why do you want the Android 12? Does it bring something that you definitely need and Android 11 doesn't have?
To tell you the truth, I am more concerned about the security updates. I have a Realme GT Neo 2 and I am on 5th January security update. Ok, is not super bad, but for a phone that was released somewhere in October 2021, it doesn't look good. Probably in 2023 I will receive just 2 or 3 security updates and than stop.

OnePlus should instead work on making more durable phones. No doubt they're going down every day. Just another generic phone brand obsessed with charging speed

Probably will the 10 or 10R - the Nord is never this large at 6.7 inches.

It might be the Nord 2T. If so, perhaps OP could stop releasing phones and focus on releasing Android 12 for the Nord 2. We haven't even seen a beta and it's been six months since Android 12 was released.
