As always, such rumors won't be true. If so, Apple will end up being like Chinese brands as they rebrand phones every now and then.

[deleted post]So? GALAX is also sponsor of 3DMark and their cards aren't miraculously the best in it.

Also Geekbench isn't some made up tool specifically written for Apple's devices. It just runs sets of computational tests in which Apple's processors happen to excel. What is preventing others from tuning theirs to perform this well? Oh right, none of them designs their own chips except Samsung. The rest just relies on whatever Mediatek or Qualcomm cooks up and stick in their devices and just hope they perform the best. Also Apple's processors have proven they aren't just great in benchmarks. iPhones are ridiculously fast at basically anything you throw at them and they remain so through several years of their life time. So it's not all just fake numbers, they prove their owrth in real world as well.

Theres probably confusion with his sources…. The 14 and 14 Max will get the A16, the 14 Pro will get the A16 Pro and the 14 Pro Max will get the A16 Max

Nikojas, 14 Mar 2022Looks like this indeed. If iPhone 14 has a15 and still a no... moreTechnically nothing. But maybe Apple will surprise us all with something revolutionary, lol.
Anyway, I think that is why they are releasing a Max vanilla variant. Probably that one will be more appealing than the normal vanilla model.
As for the people who buy Pro models usually, I don't think they care too much about what Apple is bringing to the table.
Last year were actually pretty nice improvements in the Pro models. This year, we need to wait and see.
But, something good can come out of this, the iPhone 13 Pro series, decreasing in price by the releasing of iPhone 14 Pro series, can be more appealing actually.

Why would you make two 6,7 inch models? I don't really see the point of that.
Keeping the same chipset as 2021. models on 14 & ,,14 max" is good enough, it's the most powerful chipset anyways.
Excited to see new models but i also hope they keep the notch, because what i've seen so far is very ugly.

Such a good move, all the new chips consume more power and are more expensive despite being in smaller lithography, because the newer models have more transistors for useless features like Siri, AR and real time social collaboration. Most people just want a long lasting battery, a single good camera, a long range wireless signal (5G has shorter range than 4G) and a bright screen in sunlight. Apple rather than focusing on such useless hardware and AR better rework the keyboard on iPhone to have arrow keys for cursor navigation, change the connector with USB-C and allow side-loading apps from PC as easy as coping a file on memory stick, allow third party web browsers engines. There are important improvements to be made not 4 cameras and round corners with notches and holes.

I'm actually not mad at this if it's true, I mean it is good to have proper separation between pro and non pro models.
And it gives me a good reason to keep my 13 and look for a newer android instead to accompany my 13.
Probably not going with my usual of samsung or sony.....might either try another oppo or another bbk family device....actually quite pleased about this :-)

Nikname optional, 14 Mar 2022Lol. They do not have any more interesting things to put on... moreLooks like this indeed. If iPhone 14 has a15 and still a notch what will be upgraded compared to the 13?

And one of the reasonable upgrades every iPhone year is the chip so if they stick with the a15 and refuse to change the notch(and keep the new design only for the 14 pro and 14 pro max) what will the vanilla iPhone 14 hav different than its predecessor(13 vanilla).OGK

Well nothing wrong with what Apple want to do they may even bump the GPU to 5-core of the 14 because only the 13 pro/max had 5 core gpu.but what am curious about is that iPhone 14 max what is it gonna be all about(why do I feel like it's not gonna make sense but until September2022 fingers🤞🤞🤞)

I believe they will do some minor tweaks like Qualcomm does with the plus models and call it A15s or something. Most likely what is happening is that the 14 and 14 max will be the same prices as the 13 mini and 13 so making the spec difference bigger to account for the bigger price gap as the 6.1” 14 will be $300 cheaper than 6.1” pro rather than $200. Also I believe the standard 13 will be discontinued so lineup will be 13 mini at $599, 14 at $699, 14 max at $799, 14 pro at $999 and pro max at $1099.

I use the flip 3 and changed to it from the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It's the smoothest phone to use ever. I like Apple but the tech and the OS of flip 3 was just TOO GOOD TO PASS IT UP.

And the funny part is even the A14 from two years ago will smoke the new S22s lol

A15 is the fastest chip right now so it will ok because non pro versions doesn't won't the power of a16

[deleted post]True. But what amazes me is, with such outdated hardware, how is Apple able to make phones that perform so well.
