Hate to be that guy, but it looks uglier than with the notch. It looks unappealing like those big "pills type" from Huawei phones.

Face iD is better and more versatile. Especially now when Apple got it working with masks too. Where one needs fingerprint when the device is already unlocked before you even touch it.
