Beware of buying these on some of the Chinese mass-products' sites; many phones are lookalikes with toytown guts. That said; if they can get them to Amazon Japan prime, ..... But, I guess that will take around a year again.

YUKI93, 17 Mar 2022And btw, I just noticed something: $1,260 in Mainland China... moreWe can use the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ for reference. MSRP in China was 9,000 CNY, and in Europe, 1,400 euros. The difference here is about 150 euros. It'll be an expensive phone. I guess a 1,300 euro price or something. But I wouldn't be surprised if it is unveiled for 1,500 Euros purely because it's marketed as a luxury phone two notches above Apple and Samsung.

Honor and Huawei lately produces super phone but still, no google play keeps my interest away from buying or even just keep update about them. It's personal choice though.

I ain't buying Honor phones because Mr. Whosetheboss told us about the intentional unoptimization of Honor phones compared to Huawei phones.

And it is not a question of data on the phone, it is a question of backing up your data when your phone is in repair shop + being able to easily change the phone for a newer one + easily upgrade the same phone by extending its memory. The most important part is backing up.

An amazing array of cameras for sure, but the samples on DxOMark did disappoint me ever so slightly - The main camera is barely better than the one on P50 Pro with a sensor that is only half as large. I guess I'll have to use Google Translate to dive into Chinese reviews after a few weeks just to see if anything will have been improved (because apparently the custom ISP has not been activated in the firmware it was tested on).

It's nice to see Honor pushing the boundary in terms of hardware specs, though. Thanks to a 1/1.12 inch sensor combined with a very wide F1.6 aperture lens, this phone can capture the most amount of light per exposure among any smartphones on the market, bar none. Now if it only had a variable aperture like Xperia Pro-I did..

RX100 = shu... moreI bet Mi 11 Ultra would have still come out on top if they adjusted the shutter speed to be the same and used a single frame capture on both - RX100 VII is a versatile shooter indeed, but in low light it really gets held back by its dim lens at the widest end. You can't really beat the physics.

In the end the sales and market share will judge.
