After getting the S21 Ultra, I now realize that there isn't any point because the Galaxy S series is so absurdly powerful and Galaxy As are just fine. Galaxy A phones have also become very cute and come in more color variety.

Dedicated microSD and 3.5mm audio jack cost dimes and can surely be fit into the bodies. Why are all the manufacturers killing these features. Samsung had these up until my A70. No worthy upgrades since then due to lack of these. Don't like Chinese options, so stuck with no options now.

The A series models, starting with this year, will get 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates.
But be careful, Samsung didn't said they will give 3 years of Android updates. So, that doesn't necessarily mean that A53 or A73 will get Android 15. They could do like Xiaomi does, release One Ui updates in the last year or so, but keep older version of Android.
Anyway, I don't understand why are software updates so important. Majority of times they bring new problems, rather than solve the old problems. Yeah, security updates I understand, those could be more relevant and more important, but software updates are more like a marketing thing. Especially nowadays, when more and more Android manufacturers are saying this: "Yeah, we will give n years of software support, we will achieve great things, bla bla bla". Looks like politicians speaking to me.

Whatever chipset being used have almost no practical meaning as any of the phones in this class will browse the internet and social media just fine. Having 4 Android upgrades is a big deal more and more people are keeping their phones for longer. Sounds like Samsung is finally giving more value than the likes of Xiaomi/Oppo.

Hopefully, those Chinese OEMs will follow up soon, in terms of software, of course, not removing the charger.
