I still think the A52s is a better deal with its SD 778G Chipset.

I'm guessing the Exynos 1280 will be similar to a dimensity 900/920 but on a 5nm node?

I'm surprised that the 1280 is called thus, given that Samsung already has a 5nm Exynos 1080 SoC

The older Exynos 980 seems to be the actual predecesor to this new 1280, based on its Core Configuration & the mid-range market.

They said it will get 4 major version updates. IF that is true then it may be worth it. Xiaomi does not even get 1 lol. It would certainly blow the similarly priced crippled pixel A series and SE iphones out of the water.

I'm happy & satisfied with my A52s. Will keep it for a year or two. This new A series isn't big of an upgrade.

A73 was announced but in Selected Locations and Regions !!! By any chance will it ever Come to India ... April 22 is too Long a Wait 😵

wadia13, 18 Mar 2022Samsung makes a relatively compact phone in the S range, bu... moreThe previous Samsung A40/A41 were the A series compact phones until they ditched that idea in favour of a larger display on the A42. Will be interesting to see whether the A43 retains the larger display or reverts back to smaller one.

A 72, A52sare over priced, I can imagine these phones are not affordable.. Samsung killing A series with too expensive reasons to buy.

wadia13, 18 Mar 2022I too am looking for a compact midrange Android phone. The Pizel 4a was the last somewhat small size phone, but it's been discontinued. And the S22 is still too big and expensive and it also failed the drop test. I might go looking for those small Android phones on AliExpress that come with laughably low specs or buy a pre-owned S10e

A compact phone in mid-range doesn't bring as much money because less profits there. The joke is on them though, because I will leave Android altogether if there's no such phone in midrange. iPhone SE then

Samsung makes a relatively compact phone in the S range, but no such thing in the A range. There's a market for smaller phones in the premium segment but not in the midrange segment? I don't get it.
