The reason Nokia didn't choose Android was, they didn't wanted to be just another android running company. Man, come on, even the most start up companies these days install Android on their cheap hardware phones. It was a chance that Nokia would have been more run down by this. Nokia wanted to stand up, and the only way to do that was to go with an OS that is completely new. They even had a back up plan if WP failed, and that was Jolla Mobile. It was a risk I agree, but it was a risk they where willing to take. - That's what I think.

Turning to Android would mean that Nokia is defeated, it may come to reality, maybe after the third or fourth generation Lumia.

I love the body of N9 but say no to it's camera and sound enhancement, especially, Meego. If Nokia make a combination of N9's body, 808's camera, and sound system like HTC or Sony, it really really suck.
Welcome to Vietnam! Samsung's done well there.

Nokia has seen its glory years vanish. Although they didnt start it all they revolutionized it all. Once you're a leader you would expect the rest to follow you. However some smart soldiers just went astray and decided to organize their own pack and came the rest of the androids and apples.

good...i am positive with what i see on nokia...
they are trying to focus on Window Phones...
Give them some time, they will be backed on track...
Look at Lumia Series, they are doing pretty well now...
I think they can bounce back in future...

Nokia is offering 1 ghz processor on asha phones...but the real shocking is its RAM...just 32MB...that is rediculous....
think a porsche or ferrari with 6000 cc engine...but engine BHP is only 40 or 50...
that is what is the Asha...and Nokia Call it as Asha Smart phones...
Nokia is calling asha phones as smart phones only because...samsung, apple etc are busily selling smart phones..Nplia is far behind..so they want to show treir smart phone graph..
or they are cheating customers by doing false marketing...ie, they advertise asha as smartphones..atleast some new buyers will get attracted

in 2012 nokia introduced a new segment...ie, asha 305,306,308 and 311...
segment means...Nokia thinks all touch screen phones are SMART PHONES...or they think...smart phone means only touch screen is needed..
check the screen resolution, its features, price etc..and just compare with galaxy pocket atleast...find which is best...
on that we can understant why Nokia is strugling....its nothing..only because of their idiot products...No one can make the customers fool in every time..Nokia must understant that one first..

Nokia had produced excellent phones, but that was in the past. They think too highly of themselves and reluctant to change in accordance to time and consumer needs. They just allow newcomers like Apple, Samsung, LG, Sony to catch up and be a better competitor. Hope they can rebound and as a consumer, I wait for your comeback !

I see so much fandroid comments as if they know how to run a company/business. People here needs to be educated and must learn how to read news.
I am positive that most of you don't know Nokia isn't just a smartphone/mobile phone maker they have other business segments that are really profitable. Stock prices is just one proof, you can take a look and dig in further to their financials.
It is true that the performance of smartphone division isn't performing well but hey, they are getting back in the game. They are more competitive than ever with the help of microsoft as one of their key partners in the smartphone industry race.
It is smart move for them to offshore and outsource people to save money to put it in to other investments (internal or external). Soon you will see they will be on top of the hill again.
PS
I am starting to think GSMArena have grudges about the Finnish Company.Anyway it's their opinion i totally respect it.
