I personally believe there is no way to discern which is best, because neither the criteria for establishing such, nor the metrics for measuring that criteria, nor the authority entrusted to provide the final ruling have ever been agreed. Nor do they ever need to be.
It always comes down to which is best for each user, and you seem to have made your choice and provided some of the reasons for that choice, which is all good for sure. But saying Android is the better OS without doubt is wrong, it’s only undoubtedly the better OS for you.
I used Android for many years before finally settling on iOS, but I’m not arrogant enough to go around saying ‘iOS is better’ nope, they are both mature, successful and capable platforms, iOS just happens to be my own preference.

have a iphone se (2020) here, did the update from ios 13 to 15.4 yesterday. battery drains 10 % in 15minutes. so from 100 charged to 1 in just 2.5 hours, the phone just lay here on my table . great job APPLE

I am looking at massive battery drain after the new update in my ipad pro 2021.
It is going down like a waterfall even in basic apps like safari.

Face ID with a mask uses a partial face (features around the eye area). If hardware can capture a full face, it can also capture a partial face. It's a simple fact. If Apple engineers read your comments, they will probably think that you're extremely stupid.

Android has several more features than iOS. Android has tons of customisation options as well as custom OS that further enhance the usability. Not saying that iOS is undeveloped or unsecure, but from a purely technical perspective, Android is better for sure

Apple is becoming trash in software updates, they aren't testing their updates well before releasing them, last month battery problems with old macbooks and now with iphones 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Gladly I decided to stay on Android. Maybe in future if there's a back button in bottom part of display, i can think of buying an iPhone
