Face ID with a mask uses ... moreLol, you literally proved with this comment that you are entirely oblivious to HARDWARE changes of FaceID module on iPhone 12 and newer models. And they use that to more accurately provide FaceID with mask even though they are working with less data points, because wider angle allows them to do that (which older iPhones do not have). Typical GSMArena moment... Everyone so loud about Apple and you don't have the basic knowledge about their stuff.

Yes that’s true. After I update to IOS 15.4 my iphone 13 pro battery drain faster than before.

It's probably something executing repetitively in the background (ala the wifi scanning battery drain issue of the earlier iphones). That said, my 13 pro max isn't experiencing any battery drain issues, and I don't spot a noticeable difference in the screen refresh rate.

It's one of the more common annoyances you'll encounter coming from Android, that's for sure.

i’m unfortunately one of the people affected by this, my iphone’s battery has been going from 100% to around 20 in just an hour.

Face ID with a mask only uses features around the eye area to authenticate. It's not a hardware issue. As I said, Apple's software was flawed, so it didn't have this option before. Stop blindly defending Apple. It won't do you any good.

Yeah even I have noticed the battery to drain faster after updating. Might be because of 120 Hz being used in all apps now.

Not sure if it's enabled by default or not, but if you drag your finger from inside the display to outside of it across bottom border and the top of the display will move to the bottom half, moving it in reach of your thumb or whatever.

I tried iPhone for the very first time in 2018 and I was shock that I needed to reach the uppermost left corner of the screen just to click the back button, whereas in Android it just below the screen. I was so disappointed that I sold my first iPhone just two months after I bought it. But I think they have gestures now so its not that difficult anymore, I'm not sure.

Yes, battery is draining in Ipad as well. Also, the apps completely turned blank and this is the first time it happened. I had to restart the ipad to get it working again.
