Editorial: How Many Redmi Note 11s are too many?

21 March 2022
Many similarly-sounding model names is par for the Xiaomi course, but reusing model names for different devices is just too confusing.

I was just confused reading at the reviews you guys were publishing. Like "wasn't this review just released a week ago?" "So why does this have 5g?" "Is better the G95 or the 680 or the 810? "
Confusing and unnecessary.

Rotciv Ikias, 22 Mar 2022Sony releases few phones but their names are really confusi... moreNot really. It's very easy to understand even for someone like my mum who is clearly not a tech person. Ace is the entry-level model, 10 is the midrange, 5 is the compact flagship, 1 is the top premium flagship. After that, you have the generation number in Roman numeral. Simple as that, really.

                AnonD-1018516, 22 Mar 2022You mean, the A52s? The A53 has almost the same performance... moreSorry, yeah A52s, I didnt' think there was a A52 5G haha ;)

Advice to Smartphone Brands(xiaomi, samsung, vivo, oneplus etc): 2)less models more focus on each model this making it the best of bests.2) Release every smartphone when there are important upgrades to justify it 3)launch in these roll- flagship, extreme flagships(foldables, expert phones for pros only),midrange and entry level once each yaer🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔easy peasy lemon squeezy

Even me reading the article am confused all these phones these companies are releasing are getting too much and like Samsung and Apple should stick to one name world wide. I can't even search on online stores I Xiaomi phone to buy(except their flagships) because I don't even know what is what and where is where. Xiaomi is a Good/Powerful company they really should stop this AND also other Android Brands

Xiaomi phone lineup and article based on that ..... Both causes headache.

I agree with the writer. I am also a fan of xiaome for its affordability. But Xiaomi should make its products, like phones, easier to identify.... It is true, there's to o many Redmi note 11.... It is mind boggling...

People would be like, "bUt wE hAvE mOrE cHoicE". Sorry, no. Why bother about more choice when everything is the same as before. I'd rather do Apple way by making less phone but focus more on software update. No OS is bug-free, but it's better to take some time to fix it rather than not fixing it at all.

Chinese companies all just spam products into every possible price bracket. And to satirate the market even more with their junk each has 3 or 4 sub-brands for which they reuse same 55 models they've already released under 1 brand. Maybe that works on a global scale when you saturate market with your junk so hard people end up buying only your junk, but I almost purposely avoid companies that do this nonsense. Because finding replacement parts or just the right ROM to flash if you're into that kind of thing becomes a nightmare. And because they have so much trash on the market, they provide pretty much zero support. Xiaomi is prime example of that with their Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco thing. Samsung used to be bad, but they toned down their nonsense a bit. Basically all you need is focus on A and S series and they are generally only released yearly. Everything else is not even in EU region. Best is Apple tho. Just 4 models a year and that's it. With SE every 2 years or so.

Even reading through the article is tricky 😂😂

The solution is simple for non journalists. Stop following leaks and watch only official launch events held in your region
