3 android OS updates and four years of security updates.
Considering the 11T costs 300-370 EUR, that's pretty good. I see no reason why their flagship should be any worse.

vagabont, 23 Mar 2022Dont cry and buy an iphone... Well, I have. I had Xiaomi and there was nothing wrong with device itself. But software support was pathetic. Xiaomi should do better if they want to gain users who want actual support and not just fancy phone that's not even cheaper than competition (like they used to be). I'll just take Samsung or Apple in the end because they also have proper software support, not just fancy specs. If Xiaomi had such support I'd be willing to buy even something more expensive from them, either their mainline "flagships" like Xiaomi 12 Pro or even the Ultra. But with maybe 2 major Android updates and few MIUI, just nope.

Add this 12 Ultra device at the list of Xiaomi devices with its preliminary specifications, as they have done for example with the 'Honor Magic 4 Ultimate' to be able to make comparisons.
There is no reason why this 12 Ultra does not appear on Xiaomi devices list !!! 😡😡😡

Anonymous, 22 Mar 202260, 80, 100 days away do not mean soon I have seen phones that were presented in 2 or 3 months and were already listed in GsmArena's 'Coming Soon' list with previous specifications, so there is no justification why it is not listed in Xiaomi devices ... and even more justifiably because It going to be the best phone produced by Xiaomi ever throughout its history.

Software sucks on Xiaomi phones ... morei actually feel the find x 5 pro isn't really that special, it's still lagging on the camera department compared to xiaomi flagships and the lack of periscope camera is notable for a 1300 euro phone. I owned the x3 pro and has always been frustrated with the 2x optical zoom which they decided to keep on the x5 pro.

For 1500€ devices to have such atrocious support is just unforgivable and inexcusable. You'll most likely only get Android 13 in it's whole life with few MIUI updates sprinkled in between. And that will be it. Pretty much reason I wouldn't ever buy Xiaomi again unless they get their s**t together already.

Neither the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC will be cooler than the previous nor the camera will be better than Huawei / honor ; so why the wait !

All that matters is price. Software sucks on Xiaomi phones and looking at Oppo Find X5 Pro, price will be higher for 12 Ultra. In that case X5 Pro seems to be better choice.
