I'm truly surprised, but then I guess I shouldn't be. Sony's industrial look *should* appeal to, at least the more sophisticated, gamers, but for some reason every other maker of gaming phones goes another direction. Asus seemed to have tuned down the "gaming" element briefly, for one generation IIRC, but then went back to the flashy route.
...and I guess Razor sort of ventured here too but they don't even have the 3.5mm jack or a second C port so that's out of the question.

        The thing is, only I have an Xperia phone in my social surroundings. And I never start discussing phones in real life, just keep listening about it on gatherings and coffee brakes. Unfortunately, I hear user complaints from time to time, from some of my Sammy and Xiaomi owning acquaintances (the usual, bout battery and performance, and yes, even about flagships)
        Cause you know, everyone buys those, and everyone uses them.
        But, Who knows, Maybe someone would actually also complain about some Xperia, but those rare ones having them, never did complain.

        Either way, be careful before praising some Xiaomi phones here, they tend to go really smelly after a year or so. Its just statistics. One cant mass produce so much phone models, and retain actual product quality all over their portfolio.

              That's fine. I'll play it on a real gaming phone with better battery, performance, brightness, speakers, and 3.5mm audio output for less money.
              But hey. Sony has 4k that won't be triggered by the game....

                  Man since apple helped popularize notch and sharp invbented it. it really doesnt matter.
                  If your sony is so perfect why they have sealed batteries???
                  If they sealed batteries they will erase jack too soon. Same goes for many else.

                  Man rest as you said is IRELEVANT. Less endurance means more charging faster battery drain and more E-Waste from battery.
                  Most people swap their phones every 2 years so it really doesnt matter ypur sony is brand new after 5 years if you cant play any new game because that game from 5 years ago is not the same game from 5 years ago. After several updates like Clash of Clans, Guns of Glory, Forge of Empires and many else even your 5 years old Sony will not able to run the game because on android 7 or so you wont run same game anymore.

                  And when comes to my picks. To be honest Motorola invented cell phone 49 years ago and was first cell phone manufacturer. All that Sony, Samsung, Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi and 500+ more brands did they copy and paste and made their own.
                  To me there could be only Motorola and no other brand for phones.
                  Like we have just one facebook, one IOS, one andrid, one moon and one sun,
                  Etc.
                  We dont need fake copy paste brands. Motorola could stand alone.
                  Like Vega was first personal computer. It also could stand alone just evolve.
                  Same could do for many else things.

                        If I play the same game as you discrediting some aspect based on my perception of what's better but making it a generality: performance are a stupid race as no one use it anyway, battery endurance is nice when you go trekking (even tho you just take a battery pack along whatever the phone you use, just in case, so in fact, irrelevant), but if not, who care since you can just set $10 wireless chargers everywhere you usually put your phone down so you never have to even think about charging it?
                        And that's just $1200 every 3 years (my mark I is as new after 3 years, battery at 88%, screen without any color shift, playing games as before. I can't say the same of my Huawei Mate pro after only 18 months of use always asking for replacement everytime I used it). A $600 phone you change every year just make more waste for the planet.

                        Now I don't say these points are valid for everyone, but yours aren't either and that's why different brands make different phones, and that's the best a consumer could wish for. You just pick what you like.

                          Those apps which you can easily disable in settings like ads???
                          Xiaomi even filled with bloatware have lot better endurance rating than any sony phone does.
                          82 hours on Sony 1 III with as you said stock android is laughable bad.
                          Oukitel WP 15 for 400 bucks with dimensity 700 and 15 600 mAh cell with 20W/9A charger can outrun any phone you can name with endurance.

                          Even ROG phone or Lenovo Legion phone or Nubia Red Magic would do a lot better job than Sony. Now it really doesnt matter what brand i am fanboy.
                          I like everything for good price.

                          You know that for price of one Sony 1 III any other company apart apple and maybe Samsung can make 10 times better device do you???

                            Oukitel weights 485 grams not kilograms and does excellent endurace job with its 15600 mAh cell. Dimensity 700 is very potent to run litterary anything and for 400 bucks this phone is great and is a rugged phone. Sony 1 III weights almost 200 and have only weak tiny 4500 mAh battery with poor 82H endurance rating.
                            Even old redmi 9A for 100 bucks lasted 130 hours.

                                  IOS wannabe design is as bad as it looks. Apart copy and paste applne never invented a thing and if you dont upgrade your IOS your apps will refuse to work. If you upgrade your IOS your phone gets slower and likely catch plenty of bugs.

                                  MiUI. I have never seen another UI with so much comments about bugs like MiUI. Man Samsung have more apple too. After every UI update of those two GSM Arena is ful of topics about bugs in UI. Could type plenty but i can just say 13 pro max had problems with charging immediately after release they had to make update so you could charge your battery on a 1500 eur device. Worst of all is bloatware called Itunes and that ridiculous apple store where Apple forces developers to pay even more money and to rob them from even tiny of microtransactions they have. In this case even samsung is better even if its full of bloatware with 20+ samsung related apps which acts like a mandatory and cant be deleted, consuming your ram and disk space.

                                  Low RAM? 1iii has 12GB ddr5. And does not kills apps like MiUI is set to do.
                                  Man yes it does. Xiaomi Gives 8GB ram to even average midrangers and all flagship grade devices have 12GB ram. In case of Sony its like first phone with 12GB od ram apart the phone with tht ubercamera.

                                  Game Enhancer has features related to audio, screen, battery modes, recording screen and voice, etc ... Xiaomi has no clue of how to do something similar.
                                  Yes man sure K50 gaming for half the price have 4 speakers for example and is well optimized for gaming. Sony game enhancer is just a bloatware app which acts like it doing something else apart consuming disk space and ram but it only act as it doing something else. The real life experence is simmilar to i do nothing i am here just for aesthetic.

                                  If your beloved Xiaomi reaches near 60 celsius (videos prove this) while charging and phone doing nothing, imagine charging the phone while playing.
                                  Man why i would playing and charging my phone at the same time???
                                  Your desirable Sony 1 III have only 82 hours endurance time most xiaomi phones have much over 100. Even old Redmi 9A for 100 euros have 135 hours of endurance rating.
                                  Thats something Sony coulld only dream about. With Oukitel WP 15 is uncomparable. Because this phone will last 10 times longer compared to your Sony which i can charge 3 times after its get dead and still gets dead 4th time faster than oukitel WP15 still running a 4K youtube video at full brightness. And we speak about 400 eur phone compared to 1200 eur Sony device.

                                  H.S disables battery. No charge pass through battery. This way it is safe from extra heat. Another useless feature. Its like mounting laser scope on a slinger. Or buying a DVD revinder.

                                  You did not complain when 2021 Mi series had Ip68. You will not complain when 12 Ultra comes with IP68. Just say because feels ashamed redmi note phones have higer IP rating than flagships. Man i always complain IP ratings because its a completely useless feature. If the feature is really so great why manufacturers dont give water damage included in warranty??? Why they are so worried??? Having IP resistance sounds great but we all know it has been tested in standing still condition in some water tank with plain unrefined non chlorided water. Place it into sea water, swim with it or dive with it and would like to see if its last 1,5m underwater level for 30 minutes.
                                  I bet it dies under 1 minute.

It doesn't even matter if it's Xperia, he even tried to argue that Sony's cameras are overpriced and offer mediocre specs, but when I asked him to list better cameras that are cheaper, he failed to do so.

                                        Sony was also used at Call of Duty Mobile World Championship. They weren't there just because they had good looking phones, but actual good phones to run heavy gaming without issues via HDMI cables if I'm not mistaken.
                                        Bust as always, you'll get a lot of comments from people who couldn't afford one and bought a cheap replica brand. They're just envious and jealous their cheap replica brand will never be used as the official brand for Mobile Gaming Championships.
