At least Sony has H.S. Power Control to further reduce that amount of heat and also help preserve the battery's health.
Additionally, there are NO SCREEN CUTOUTS to make the gaming experience much better. The L-Y Gamma Raiser and Black Frame Insertion really make gaming experience so much better as well for the professionals.

In case you do not remember 1ii was the one to debut the ability to be powered by the cable instead of the battery. This is the main point of Heat Supression.
Did you think ZTE was the one who brought to mobile world? 🤣

Need some research before lying in public.

They obviously have tested using the Xperia phones running PUBG Mobile, and they deemed them very capable and reliable for professional players to be used, hence they made Xperias the official smartphone for professional league.

          Crappy choice

Boy they picked a great official smartphone.
The body temperature goes up to 60 C˙ very quickly, it burns your hands for real.
Why couldn't they pick ASUS or Lenovo- you know, manufacturers that ACTUALLY make gaming smartphones?

They've had it since xperia 1/5 series. The Xperias have very good cooling. You can game pretty well with 240Hz sampling rate and damn is 4k display a delicious treat to have on a phone.

21:9 is worse than 16:9 for gaming

No direct controls over GPU goveners
No independent display chip to offset GPU load
                    Worse touch sampling rate
More taxing 4K display with zero games to support it

                    Horrible availability
                    Crazy pricing

No reason for Sony to be even considered for gaming

What resolution can the phone run? Probably 1080p.

Sony phone's perf would probably tank if it ran at full 120 Hz / 120 FPS on that 4K display.

I wonder how much Sony paid them? Why wouldn't a gamer just use a gaming phone instead? I'm pretty sure all the gaming phones have higher touch sampling rates, better battery life, headphone jacks, better performance on the SoC due to better cooling, unique gaming attachments to help game better, not to mention the price of some of those gaming phones is like half the price of Sony flagships. The only reason I'd go with the Sony is probably the better cameras in this situation but at nearly double the price just for slightly better cameras? Hell I'd buy an iPhone before I buy a Sony for gaming. The iPhone 13 is cheaper than the Sony phones, has arguably the best SoC on the market and the most balanced phone overall. Not to mention it will retain its value far better than the Sony will...

                                  No surprise.

                                  - Screen with better calibration, game supports 21:9, front speakers give better experience compared to speaker beside usb port. No notch, no ugly hole. No useless curves.

                                  - game enhancer with many features

                                  - Heat supression : Power does not charge battery while H.S is on. Thing copied by Zte for its Nubia Redmagic phones.
