Now they give their flagship phones up to 4 years of software support and even give relatively affordable phones 3 years of updates like my Redmi Note 10S which will continue to be patched with security until 2024 I hope they will continue to be successful so they can continue to provide high tech products at affordable prices.

Providers also give iPhones at better prices. Companies buy by majority apple for employees, not because are better, but because they can literally know anything you do in the moment. Also more than half of those that own apple phones struggle to pay every month maybe 2-4 years just to show off. I know people that have half of my salary but they have iPhones while I "show off" with my Poco F3.

More than 80% ... moreApple also lacking a lot of basic things what is expected from there high premium flagship phones that are probably built per device as maximum as 400 euro and then market price for them be 1400 euro and lacking a lot of modern top end features that should be on best of the market premium products.
Also for Xiaomi they value more customers for there brand then the profit they make as they are building there own ecosystem with all types of products under Xiaomi name

Rather will use my card that risk loosing my creditenials.
So not having NFC in a phone is good.
But all depends on people.
I do understrand that some lazy people needs NFC like they need IR blaster because using remote controler for TV is for them too complicated.
Same goes for many else things. Like opening and closing book case because it takes too much energy rather people will have no case and then next day will cry if someone hugs you in bus when it accidentaly stops and your phone drops on ground and gets damaged.
Present world is weird and present people are far more lazy than they ever though or imagine.

Xiaomi makes about 32,1 bi dollars with mobile sales (devices + accessories).
Apple makes 197 bi.
Yeah, Apple is so worried and scared of redmi note that will cost 500 euros while lacking basic thing like NFC.

I used to love Xiaomi, but now prices are getting a bit to high. For instance with 12 series. The only one that I find interesting in Europe, and is not so cheap, is the 12x
One funny thing is that they define premium phones as 300+ EUR and they say they sell 14% at that price range. But the thing is that all Xiaomi models in Europe are 300+ except for Xiaomi 11 lite. So in the end, Mix, 11T, 11, 11 Ultra are not so popular, altogether are sold less than Galaxy S21 (which also used to sell better).
So 86% are the cheapest models of Redmi and Poco.
I start to have the feeling that expensive phones, excepto for Apple, are not so popular these days.

When comes to most phones sold Xiaomi alwas lead the market.
In case of apple i believe they can do 10% of this with that overpriced SE 2022 because of apple marketing and defied i mean scammed people who buy litterary everything when they see apple logo on it.
