They could have just stopped with integrated graphics or a 3050 or something if they had no intention of it being used for gaming. Why would you put a 6gb dedicated graphics card in a laptop that was not intended for gaming in any way? That makes no sense at all. You're not going to need that for much else apart from gaming. That's a gaming GPU.

Performance of Dell XPS may not be upto MacBook with Apple M-series processor's but their design is very pleasing as compared to MacBook's at least the design of the display.

These laptops aren't aimed for gamers, and are infact terrible at doing so due to their thermals. They focus in the creator market where they require more power than the average iGPU to make editing and touching up faster, smoother and more bearable.

These dells come with an rtx 3060 6gb card. The 3070 is going to be better for longer so for gaming I'd debate what you're saying there. Paying more money for an inferior gaming package.
