How much they have original content made from 0 to there platform ? Buying license to show content that is made by others is nothing special. Netflix have also bought the rights for shows or movies they show on there platform and not all is financed by them to make.
The main example is that CODA that was bought for there streaming platform as the only right to show it on there platform while the movie was already made and shown so apple alone didnt make it success

Apple tv on my macbook shows all kind of shows. Some play fine. Some ask for money.
I do not understand why they have subscriptions and charges inside an app which I already am paying for.

That doesn’t make any sense? You haven’t watched anything and say the selection is poor?
Also it’s quality over quantity, i have Netflix too and seriously it’s close to impossible to find anything to watch because the producing quality is so low, you are just wasting time to find something worth to watch. I’ve found many positive surprises from ATV+ when i just started to watch them. Every ATV+ content have some meaning to be there. Apple is slowly building really great service with fresh content.
