Streaming movies win big at Oscars, CODA on Apple TV+ becomes the first to win Best Picture

Netflix had its eye on that award, but won Best Director instead. Disney+ and HBO Max also walked away with several statuettes.

          The Oscars was simply bad this year with mediocre movies winning awards. The only highlight was Will Smith losing his cool.

            Apple didn't win Oscar! Apple just paid $25 million for worldwide rights to 'CODA',right after Sundance film festival, to a film that’s already sold to territories all over the world. And closed access to it only through their platform.
            You really think they didn't bought this win win as well? And perhaps they've bought this article too.

              winning Oscars snd Golden Globes has to do a lot with lobbying too. Bet you didn't know that.

                Quality over quantity, well done Apple! ATV+ is getting bigger and better, great content over and over again.

                Remember when haters two years ago said Apple have no chance and why they would even try because it’s too late already. Now they win Oscar for best picture, must be hard times for haters :D
