Motorola Fontier could easily win award best flagship grade phone of 2022.
But it could not look like ugly S8 plus with infinite screen which cost 400 to repair even the phone its self is several years old.

Apparently people still think reviews are a good way to decide which phone to buy.

They always do this like with the Moto G and Moto One phones too. They make something good then try to tag that name on everything that is not good.

I was really planing to get the Frontier but (for the premium price they will probably ask for it -since it will be slotted higher than the edge 30 pro) I was realistically hoping it will have at least 5x telephoto.
Or if only 2x, then with a second 200mp sensor ..but not with a 12mp from 2015.
This phone (except the main sensor) will hardly be an upgrade from my current mi11ultra.
Even my 2019 OnePlus 7 pro had a 3x telephoto.

Also, if you use digital zoom on video, you need 8K to have 4K at 2x. At 3x, your footage goes HD.

Can anyone tell what is Motorola smoking? I want some of that stuff too.
They do realize that a 2x telephoto is meaningless and superfluous when you got a 200 main sensor. I bet my balls on the fact that zooming in on the huge 1/1.22 inch 200mp sensor will get you better quality and detail than the small 12mp 2x telephoto will give.

I dont get the point in companies adding a 2x camera if there is a high megapixel main camera. You get more quality out of the main camera than the 2x lenses and you're wasting valuable space that could be used for a better camera. Is there something I'm missing here? At least stretch for a 3.5x or keep it off the phone and keep the cost down.
